Visited on a solo trip around the west. I was tired of driving and found the Westin and it was just what I was looking for. Calm, quiet, centrally located and a block from the Mammoth Village Gondola.

The room was comfortable and the service was excellent. That made for a great, restful and relaxing stay. The most memorable part of my stay though, was the kindness shown to me by Willow at the front desk. She represents what every Westin employee should be.

My late wife used to say that you can tell everything you need to know about a person by how kind they are. She was right.

I very rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to now after my recent experience here. This was my first overnight stay at this hotel, and I will 100% be returning. (Had dinner here previously and the experience was very pleasant also). Each staff member during my four-night stay was consistently welcoming and helpful. Johanna, Matt, Greg, Ben, Valerie, Cindy, and many more folks whose names I forgot (my apologies!) all really know how to make guests feel valued. The rooms here are awesome... loved having all the amenities like a small family room area with a nice fireplace and a couch big enough to nap on after a long ski day. The rooms were really clean upon arrival too.

Possibly the best treatment I’ve ever received from the staff at a hotel, and I’ve had plenty of great experiences at hotels. There’s something very endearing about someone remembering my name and multiple staff members greeted me by name whenever I saw them over the course of my stay. A special shoutout to the manager Tim who offered to change our room due to construction obstructing our view, gave my daughter fresh strawberries out of nowhere and provided me with personalized care whenever we saw each other. Also it’s rare to see a manager doing all the jobs and Tim definitely fit that description. It’s obvious to me that he possesses an extremely high aptitude for leadership. Another special shout to Johanna who greeted my family and me upon arrival. Johanna always remembered my name and provided excellent care with anything we needed. If I’m being g honest the actual rooms weren’t perfect, probably a 3.5/5 but the level of care I received from the staff has made me a loyal customer and when I come back to Mammoth I will 100% be booking with the Westin.
