I've stayed here many times, and it is a great central location. You have to be a little careful, as just a block or two away in certain directions and the area is a little sketchy. The staff is great and very responsive. I'm happy to say that they have recently renovated their rooms, and it was long overdue. I was on the 23rd floor, and I'm not sure if all the floors have been done, but the decor was updated, new carpets, as well as the bathrooms being updated. You are right by Reading Terminal, which you should go to for lunch just for the experience. Parking (valet) is expensive - $38.00/night, PLUS 7.60 for tax, so consider that when planning transportation.

From the outside this hotel looks quite grand. The lobby is very inviting and well done. My issue is with the room. It was very clean, spotless, in fact, however there is a lot left to be desired. The bed was super firm, very firm, to the point of discomfort. Also, something I hadn't experienced before, the comforter was too small! My husband and I were "fighting" for the comforter. That was a little odd. Also, the toilet could not have been louder. Other than that it was good. The hotel is located right next to the Reading Market Terminal, which was very nice because you could pick up just about anything to eat. Lots of energy throughout the Terminal. It was a nice sight to see. We spent the day at the zoo only a $15 cab ride, and well worth the visit. That night we had an incredible dinner at Maggiano's across the street. It is a franchise, but a good one!
I would not stay here again, unless they offer a more comfortable bed!

We have a very nice time here as we attended a big event at the convention center. One great thing was that we could walk indoors all the way to the convention center and that was really nice since it was cold out. The concierge sent us to a great restaurant and the staff took excellent care of us. A little disappointed that there was no microwave to heat up our delicious leftovers.

We stayed in 2 different locations in Philadelphia. This one in Center City and the other near the airport. Both had costly extras. Wifi and parking is costly at both. However, this hotel will save you on public transportation because it is so centrally located. It also will cost you to use the "airport shuttle". The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. If I had to do it again I would have paid the extra money to stay here in the center of Philadelphia then doing the airport location. I also would have chosen a lower end hotel that had more of the extras included in the hotel room fees.

Large hotel near the convention center and across from the Reading Market. It was clean and the staff was professional.

The hotel was very busy and the staff was able to handle the rush. Some of my luggage was misplaced, and the bell staff found it.

I would probably stay there again if I were able to get a good rate.

Spent 3 nights here on a conference. Great facilities and surprisingly good food. The rooms were very good too, nice and clean and fully equipped. Great location on the centre of town, right next to the Convention Centre and the Town Hall. The Reading terminal market was a great choice for breakfast! Try the scrapple!

Room Tip: Don't stay near the lifts!

Overall a good stay, though a bit generic, but expected for a large chain hotel.
Location: Central in Center City, opposite the Reading Terminal Market & SEPTA station plus 1 block from the Convention Center.
Rooms: Updated & modern, although my king room was on the small side. Surprised to see paint peeling above the shower, but everything was spotlessly clean, sanitized & vacuumed.
Restaurant: Recently redesigned & somewhat chic, pretty good food & service for a hotel. A bit pricey -$5 for a 5 oz glass of OJ.

Room Tip: Book a weekend night stay when there aren't any no conventions or major events for a good rate.
