This hotel has a fabulous design, friendly staff and is very well maintained and clean. It has an interesting large living-room.Good breakfast in restaurent. A little pricey, but inline with the area.

I have stayed at The Study on numerous occasions for work. It is the only hotel I will now stay at when in Philly, which is often. The location is great, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the rooms are spacious with nice views of the city. The hotel restaurant is perfect for after work drinks and dinner. I have even decided to forgo collecting hotel “points” as it’s worth it to stay at The Study!

The staff was lovely. My room was bright and airy. And the hotel was just 3 blocks away from the Amtrak station without the feeling of being in a smog-saturated, traffic-trap. *cough, Times Square, sough, cough* ...I plan on returning to this hotel whenever I'm in Philly.

Room is bright and modern with easy access to UPenn and Drexel campuses. Good selections of street vendors round the corner. We booked on a promotional rate where parking was included. Otherwise, overnight unlimited in/out valet parking would have been $42, quite steep for a campus visit. Front desk did make a mistake and added $42 to our bill but rectified it quickly once we brought the error to their attention. Bed did give my husband a stiff back and kept him up most of the night.

+ Very nice hotel located in the University area. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy with very comfortable beds and free wifi. Great view from our 7th floor room of the city skyline.

- Parking was a real issue - although it was advertised as having "on-site parking" it was valet parking and cost an additional $42 per day, which is absolutely extortionate in my opinion. I was also disappointed by the lack of tea & coffee making facilities in the room, although it was possible to get some in the lobby in the mornings. Eating in the hotel was prohibitively expensive for families, so we ate breakfast at a nearby bagel cafe. If you added the price of breakfast (for 4 people) and parking onto the room bill it would have made this hotel very, very expensive indeed.

Room tip: Great city skyline view from our 7th floor room.

Dave2usa,

We appreciate your feedback and concerns during your stay with us. I should mention parking in Philadelphia can be and is an issue. Unfortunately, we do not own a parking garage, although we are always able to make sure your vehicle is accessible at all times and provide you door to door service without charging in/out fees. Despite the cost, we are still the least expensive valet option in the city.

We do hope your travels back in Philadelphia bring you back to our property!
