I visited this museum on my son's school trip. Independence Hall and Constitutional Center were both so well done, that this new museum pales in comparison. Part of the problem is that it's just too small. Several groups sharing a small space with guides talking was just too distracting. I heard the plan is to have audio guides. This will go a long way to improving this museum. Guides were so-so, so really good audio guides will improve content and space/noise/distraction issues.

We spent all day exploring this one year old museum and learned so much about the 18th century revolution that helped create our country. The huge variety of exhibits, videos and talks is presented in such a logical and easy to follow way that a child, teen, young parent or old timer will come out having a big respect for what our founding fathers and mothers went through. Nice to see and hear about the diverse people who sacrificed to make it happen. We especially loved the presentation of the actual tent which Washington used during the campaign. And photographs taken in the early 19th century with stories of men and women who participated in the American Revolution was very moving.

For the cost of admission, and layout of museum-ultra modern with limited exhibits, it seems like the are intentional trying exclude families with children under 16. Save your money - this is not worth it...

Definitely worth a visit, but more geared toward student groups rather than those more seriously interested in the history of war. They had a very dramatic 'immersive experience' about the Battle of Brandywine which was almost entirely devoid of actual facts. There were basically no statistics related to the battles mentioned (#'s involved, casualties). Guildford CH not mentioned at all. John Paul Jones barely mentioned. Nothing on the fate of the signers of the Decl of Independence. Battle of Princeton was misrepresented.
I was prepared to spend however much time was needed to see it all. Ultimately it take me nearly as long as I was hoping.

It was cool seeing George Washington's tent.
It offered a lot of facts, videos to watch.
It was not too busy.
There are benches throughout in order to be able to sit and relax for a minute or two.
