From check-in to security to bar service--everyone at this hotel was professional, friendly, and efficient. The room was comfortable and quiet. Location is convenient--almost equidistant--to Rittenhouse Square, Logan Square, and Love Park (closed right now for what looks like construction). Turns out to be a great location in a walkable city.

I thought I submitted this review months ago but I guess I forgot.

The hotel is super cute and located in the heart of downtown. Fran Fran Fran. What can I say. She was AMAZING. She helped recommend so many amazing restaurants and things to do. She even offered assistance on her days. Time restaurant was amazing. It's a must!!

Kim sent us treats for our anniversary. She's so sweet. The Artbar was great. We opted for drinks there versus Ruth Chris - you can get Ruth Chris in any major city. Try to eat and drink local.

We were on the 26th floor. It's not overlooking the beach of course but a nice view of the city was cool. Lol. The suite was spacious and clean. Nice job housekeeping!! The bathroom was cute and bright. The linen was clean and fresh. Overall a great hotel. I'll stay again.

We stayed here for one night at this hotel on our way to Washington D.C. after seeing the sights and sounds of Philadelphia. The hotel had all amenities we required, the staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a stay over but didn't see any business conferences advertised although meeting rooms were available.

I travelled from New York and stayed at the hotel for 02 nights. The hotel was not hard to find the uber driver knew where it was. There was only one front desk staff at the reception and we had to queue for check in.

I was checked in and offered a room , my expectation was i would get a room as per my preference (high floor, quiet room) as i mentioned during the booking. There was a USD 250 incidentals amount blocked on my card ( which is fairly high compared to hotel s even in New york, its ridiculous)
There was a bell man besides the reception who didn't offer to assist with my luggage, í managed however. The room was besides the elevators which was not what i requested. I went and asked for a change and this was corrected. Room and amenities are okay, food is alright at the cafe besides the lobby, place is very convenient and central, I met George at the reception who was extremely helpful and went out of his way to ensure that i could get around easily and visit places on interest even the nail spa that is a few blocks away.

The concierge was also helpful and offered to book me a tour by bus however i didnt manage to fit it in my few days there. The "love park" is a walk away but when i visited the monument had been removed for renovation, i couldn't find it. A few minutes walk to City hall, Macy's and a great range of sit outdoor restaurants for people watching.

There are great shops and restaurants to sample, a Starbucks opposite the hotel, Bloomingdales a few metres away and a number of bars for a great night life.

Thank you George for the excellent service!

Room tip: Higher floors, better view

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent 2 night stay at Sonesta Philadelphia while visiting us from New York. We are pleased that you enjoyed our central location as there is so much to see and do just steps away from our front doors! I'm glad you had an easy check-in, however do apologize you were not satisfied with your room, but we really are happy you let us know so we could correct it. It's wonderful to hear the team took such good care of you providing the warm and friendly service Sonesta is known for - especially George. I will pass along your kind words to him and make sure he is rewarded for his outstanding service. Regarding the incidental hold at check-in, please know all our guests are required for an incidentals fee. This fee is set at $250 for security, as well for guest's convenience as it may cover any charges during the stay including possible charges from our in-house restaurant, Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Please know this fee is refundable at check-out and depending on the guest's bank, the guest will receive the returned funds within a few business days. Also please know the incidental fee is posted on our website, under "our hotel" and mentioned at check-in. We share this information as often as possible because we certainly don't want our guests to be surprised with any "hidden" fees. We appreciate your understanding and glad you had an overall pleasant stay! Thank you again for staying Sonesta and we hope to host you again soon in the City of Brotherly Love! - Jordan C.

My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Check in was quick and easy, and the room was ready a few hours before check in as well. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful (although we didn't really require anything during our stay.) Although our room was across from the elevators, it was quiet. The room itself was large and both the bedroom and bathroom were clean. The location of the hotel is ideal - super convenient and walking distance to everything! We came from NYC and took Amtrak and had no problem walking the mile or so to the hotel from the train station. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.
