A relaxing way to ease the stress on the feet by sitting down and at the same time the surroundings are very peaceful

“The Rolling Stones said it Best”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

You can't ride a bike or throw a frisbee because the average age of nearby residents is about 215 years of age. But Rittenhouse Square is another great place to people watch and read the Sunday paper in Philadelphia. On a warm spring lunch hour you cannot beat purchasing a hot dog and a Coke and sitting on the wall and "watch the girls go by dressed in their summer clothes (Paint It Black --The Rolling Stones)

“Small but much needed in the city”
Reviewed 12 March 2012

This park is only one block wide, but an oasis in center city Philadelphia. You'll find it between 18th and 19th streets on Walnut Street. It will be packed with dogs, people, and the homeless so bring your patience. City dwellers co-exist with the homeless here so don't let that frighten you off. It's a great place to enjoy lunch on a nice day.

“Restaurants”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

Excellent restaurants – if you are not afraid to walk, then head towards Old City to the east and you’ll find a wide array of restaurants to suit all palates.
