We toured the historic ship and then settled in for a very nice dining experience. The staff were attentive and offered suggestions. The lobster bisque was excellent and we shared sushi rolls. So much variety we ended up with too much food. But it was well worth the experience. A rare order came as requested. Really a good time all around.

We’ve been coming to the Moshulu for years Moshulu (~2 times each year) and have never been disappointed. The setting is beautiful, the food excellent. It’s always a special night out for us. There is a bar (moved & renovated this past year) to enjoy some pre-dinner beverages. In the summer we enjoy the outside seating on deck. We even came to the New Years Eve dinner on two occasions in the past. Incredible location to view the fireworks.

This Sunday evening was no different. Service was very attentive. They readily accepted a substitution on one entree. The tuna tartare app was excellent (tuna, shrimp, avocado with a delicious sauce & wonton crisps), though the Caesar salad just OK. For entrees, I had the Baja Striped Bass which was excellent, as was the fried chicken entree. A varied menu (various steaks and seafood) will keep us coming back for a special night out in the future.

Great seafood in a ship setting. There is even a neat private dining room accessed through the kitchen. The bar on the top deck of the ship is a great romantic place for cocktails at sunset. The menu is pretty routine but the preparation and service are excellent

Traveling in Philadelphia for Thanksgiving, we chose the Moshulu for dinner. The atmosphere on the ship is unique and very comfortable.

The pre fixe dinner was $60 for adults and $25 for kids. Portion sizes weren’t very different and the kids had full sized appetizers, so either we got a great deal for the kids, or overcharged as adults. We were ok with the price overall.

We had a variety of appetizers, from Caesar salad to shrimp cocktail, to lobster bisque. All were well seasoned and tasty.

4 of us had traditional Thanksgiving dinner including, of course, turkey. It also had mashed potatoes, a great stuffing, carrots, sweet potato, green beans, and cranberries. All was delicious and substantial.

Dessert was an apple topped pumpkin cheesecake and a chocolate layer cake; a piece of each. Both were easy to eat with the family preferring the cheesecake 3-2.

This would have been a 5 except for the service. Our server seemed to try, but was overwhelmed and not very knowledgeable about the menu.

Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great spot for weekend brunch on the Philadelphia waterfront. Surprising good food, service and value in a touristy venue. The interior of the ship is well-appointed and most tables have good views of the river. Crab cake Benedict and the quirky cheesesteak omelet were very successful dishes. Portions are ample and the coffee was good. We were quite happy with the $35 per person price. Open above-deck outdoor seating is available, and there is top-of-ship bar (with TV for sports) where the same menu can be ordered.
