This is a crowded, frenetic place that is always bustling with activity. Food stalls line the corridors. You can purchase vegetables, fruit, meat and fish fresh from the farm or eat at the variety of food stands, sampling farm-to-table goodness in every bite. It reminds me of some of the food bazaars in places like Florence and Paris. Fun, enclosed and authentic. Worth the trip

It an iconic place in Philadelphia and a must see in any tour beyond the classic tourist hotspots. Also a chance to try a lot of different kind of foods, artisan cheese, beers, etc. I got to Reading after a very long walk in the morning seeing the wonderful graffitis along the city downtown. I strolled from stall to stall trying many dishes and treats. Wonderful.
