ı was visiting my daughter and we went out to dinner together. we made reservation online and we found the place with ease. very friendly professional seasoned waiters greeted us.

I started with raw oysters they were fresh and full truly awesome. i had a filet mignon steak medium and asparagus and Idaho style baked potato. i know steak in texas and had plenty of Argentinean steak and i must confess that this was one of the best 5 steaks i ever had. Taste, texture consistency in cooking not a tiny spit was over cooked or burnt simply marvelous

folks if you are in the neighbour i recommend strongly. yes excellent wine selection. prices reflect the quality in kitchen in services in wine selection but i thought well worth it

When we arrived at the Prime Rib, we were slightly disappointed that we were unable to have a table on the porch as we requested. They said they had a table in the Piano Room – which we took so that we did not have to wait. All in all, it was just okay. The corner location was not as quiet as we thought it might be. From now on, we will only dine on the porch. Thank you again for participating in Restaurant Week. Our server was not at the top of his game last night. He was forgetful and too intrusive. He pushed the wine that they were offering with the restaurant week menu, a bottle of Malbec for $25.00. We were not even offered a wine list. Not sure why we did not insist on seeing the wine list – maybe because it was such a disjointed atmosphere. The four of us all ordered Caesar salads which were brought out immediately. As we finished our salad, we asked him about the potato skins. He then realized that he did not place our order for them. So between the salad and the entrée, we had the appetizer. The Greenberg skins were large and crisp. We totally enjoyed them. We all decided on the prime rib (upcharge of $5.00). It was a decent- size piece of prime rib perfectly cooked to our specifications. A delicious side dish of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach accompanied our entrees. The finish was the chocolate mousse pie, which was so decadent we could not finish it.

It has been a number of years since I've dined at the PR. Since it was Restaurant Week, I thought it would be a good time for my husband to try it since he's never been. First, they have complimentary valet parking. There is a stand on Chase Street or you can drive into the adjacent alley into the garage. If you choose the garage route, you will travel up stairs and back hallways to get to the restaurant. We were pleasantly greeted and taken to a nice table. It is a bit dark inside but the atmosphere is romantic. We ordered from the RW menu and the regular menu: Lobster Bisque, Caesar and House salads, Prime Rib, Filet Mignon (oscared), and Key Lime pie and Chocolate Mousse pie for dessert. The bisque was made with real heavy cream with chunks of lobster claw meat - very good (although the tail meat would have been better); the salads were nicely dressed and ample in size; the prime rib was outstanding and they gave me a really nice size for the RW price; hubby ordered the filet - he was in heaven! For a $10 upcharge, he had it "oscared" and they piled the lump crab meat on with hollandaise sauce and asparagus. It was enough crab meat to make a decent sized crab cake! The filet was cooked perfectly! Meats were accompanied by mashed potatoes and creamed spinach (a bit heavy on the nutmeg but good). Pies were good also. Service was great! We will definitely return....

Once in a while its worth spending a little extra on dinner. The old adage is accurate, you only live once, so get a good steak. We did not get the steak but it looked great. We were after the seafood. Crab cakes and swordfish, and both were excellent just like the whole experience at The Prime Rib.

The namesake dish of prime rib is excellent. The decor is just right for a steak house. Piano player adds just the right atmosphere. Bartenders are professional and provide a good pour. Nothing is skimped here, not even the prices - but if you want a romantic or celebrate an event - this is the place.
