Its not every hotel lobby you walk up to the desk and are confronted by a larger than life photograph of Frank Zappa. The art seems to center on Baltimore Performers, there is also behind the bar a large photo of Momma Cass Elliott another child of Baltimore. The hotel is uneven, I struggled to decide what rank to give this. The stay was better than average, the room was a decent size clean, and with a nice little kitchenette. The bathoom was a bit tired looking and a curtain rod looked like it had been torn out of the ceiling. However the room was clean, the bed comfortable. I had a problem with the WiFi and the desk wasn't much help getting it working but they were nice about it. Staff generally were very pleasant and happy to help. The lobby and the elevators again could use some attention. Given the convenience of the location it offset some of the issues. The breakfast is standard hotel complementary fare, heavy on carbs but no worse than most. They did have a nice selection of fresh fruit.
I did not pay as much as I might have and as I say the staff and the location compensated for the few negatives.More
