Easy to walk through, very reasonable and enjoyed the historic walk. The highlight of the day is the cannon fire.

The visit to Old Fort Jackson is not one of the overhyped attractions of the Savannah area. However, the buildings and artefacts on display evoke a period of military developments in the 18th and 19th centuries. The undoubted highlight is the informative show put on by Corporal Childers, who vividly fires the imagination with historical detail and complements it by demonstrating the art of the rifleman, cannon firing and flag signalling.
Highly recommended for all ages.

If you love history as I do, you cannot miss this place. They do a fantastic job with the kids in demonstrating the use of the cannon. My kids are older and loved it, but I saw some small children that were having a blast.

This was the highlight of our 12 day vacation! We have visited several Fort’s and battleships over the years, but have never had such an amazing experience as this! Sgt. Bradford spent a couple of hours with us teaching our kid’s SO much! They learned drumming rudiments, signal Corp., musket loading, canon firing, how to salute and march and on and on! Sgt. Bradford truly has a gift for teaching kid’s history and making it fun! This is a MUST DO if you are visiting Savannah with kid’s! Thank you for the great experience!

Good demonstration of musket and cannon fire! Bring mosquito repellant! Corporal Childers did a great job showing us how the soldiers lived and fired their weapons.
