If you are in Savannah and need a great spot for taking pictures, go to Forsyth Park in the morning before you go to Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House for lunch. It has beautiful azaleas and an iconic fountain, which are perfect for a backdrop for a family photo. (The public bathrooms are open early, too.)

Definitely worth strolling around this park to get a feel for the every day life for Savannah folk. Very shady arboretum with interesting trees. Nice on a hot day.

Great place to relax in the shade, play games outside, let your children play, or take family photos!

It was very nice to walk down the trees towards the famous fountain. Beautiful spring flower beds beneath the fountain makes it a marvelous calm and serene place to walk around with your family. Local farmer products are sold at one side of the park when we visited during weekend.
