Had a great weekend stay at the mansion. The decor & theme is gothic with a modern feel. We really liked eating at the original mansion next door as the hotel is an addition that was built in 2005. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable.
Would not recommend staying on concierge level. Probably one of the oddest I've ever encounted. I can only speak for the weekend but I felt that the extra money was not worth it. It was closed at certain times then open and they only offered water or soda and a few snacks. We were given a certificate to use at the hotel restaurant which only ended up to be $8 dollars per person. We ended up getting a $16 dollar debit off of our breakfast bill. Marriott shouldn't even offer this choice as they charge you at least $80 extra a night for nothing to show. Other than the concierge level being a total disappointment the hotel is really nice and it's within walking distance to the river. About 1 mile or 20 mins. They also offer a courtesy shuttle between the mansion and sister hotel.More
