“Charming historic mansion”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

We spent 3 wonderful days and nights in Savannah at Kehoe House. Located on a picturesque, quiet square and an easy walk to all of the historic area and the riverfront. The concierges, particularly Haley and Phil, were so helpful with reservations, answers to questions, and requests for service. We had a lovely corner room (the Oglethorpe) with a small balcony that had a wonderful view and our friends had another room (the Fiore) with a larger balcony -- perfect for a glass of wine. Lots of food -- cooked to order breakfasts, wine and appetizers that were quite tasty in the afternoon, dessert in the evening, and turndown service with cookies! Fun to talk with the other guests at breakfast and afternoon wine! There are lots of choices in Savannah, but we were really happy that we chose Kehoe House.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor -- quiet. If there are two couples traveling together, choose the Fiore...

Wife and I stayed here while meeting up with other family for Easter weekend. We had never been to Savannah before and were looking to experience the whole historical/B&B feel of the city. Kehoe house didn't disappoint!

It's a beautiful property in a great location in Savannah's historic district - close to many restaurants, stores, and the riverfront area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and our room (John Wesley) was spacious and had a great view of Columbia Square. The rooms were well-furnished and the bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Housekeeping was timely and thorough, and the dining/sitting rooms on the main floor were great places to enjoy breakfast and the wine and cheese hour. Parking was easy, just about a block away.

I wavered back and forth between giving this hotel a 4 or a 5... there are only a couple things that are holding be back from "rounding up" a 4.5. First, for the room rate, I would have expected the rooms to be a bit less "rustic"... they weren't exactly run-down, but a little maintenance (paint, bathroom grout work, etc) would go a long way. Second, the breakfast was decent but nothing fantastic. I'm not sure if this is just because of the volume they need to cook for a B&B of this size, but it's basically equivalent to what you'd find at a good diner, and not nearly as fast. This isn't a strong complaint, but just a definite area for improvement... the rooms and the property is so nice, the whole package could be phenomenal if they could ramp up breakfast a bit.

Overall, I'd recommend the Kehoe House to others coming to Savannah. We had a very positive experience and the B&B made a great backdrop for the "Southern charm" of the rest of the city.

Room Tip: Get a street/square view if possible... at night, you can watch people on "ghost tours" ga...

The Kehoe House set the perfect tone for a most memorable visit to Savannah. The mansion is beautiful and the guest rooms lovely, each unique, very comfortable and quite charming. We had two rooms adjoined by a veranda....perfect for enjoying the wonderful breakfasts! We truly felt like we were experiencing Savannah, not just staying in a hotel. The wine, cheese, cakes and cookies were all extra special touches. We were so sad when it was time to leave and hope to visit again soon. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a wonderful Savannah experience!!

Room Tip: We had two couples traveling. We booked the Johnny Mercer and Bolzius rooms. Both quite lovely and...

We truly loved our stay at Kehoe House.
Weekday prices are a steal when you add the cost of the great cooked to order breakfast. Afternoon tea, evening snacks with wine and bed time cake and cookies. Be pampered by the great staff, relax in a grand and comfortable home.
Weekend rates are a real value for the level of service and relaxation.
Say to Nick and Hali! They will gracefully care for your every need.
Savannah and the Kehoe House served us the BEST trip we've ever had.

Absolutely LOVED the Kehoe House! Service, rooms, location and ambvience were top notch. From the made to order hot breakfast, to wine and cheese hour nightly, we felt right at home. We stayed here for my birthday getaway with friends, and our stay at Kehoe made it that more special.

Room Tip: The Johnny Mercer room was lovely with two balconies, but beware, you have to crawl through large wi...

Stayed at The Kehoe House this past weekend and absolutely fell in love with it! The staff (especially Nick and Halley!) were incredibly helpful, responsive and knowledgeable. The breakfast in the morning is impressive (cooked to order!) with WONDERFUL apple/walnut pancakes! The rooms were large and the bed extremely comfortable. Located in the heart of the historic district, we walked everywhere and had no difficulty getting around. Some complain about parking being 50 yards away - whiners! The house is beautiful. We went with friends for a birthday getaway and were absolutely wowed! by the place. Definitely will stay there again next time we hit Savannah!!

Room Tip: We were in 204. No balcony but a very large room with comfortable chaise lounge. Rm 205 where our...
