“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

We spent 4 days at the Forsyth Park Inn recently. We took along our two large dogs and stayed at their cottage. Our dogs loved being able to be out in the locked courtyard and visiting with other guests. The Inn offered breakfast, afternoon wine w/hor'doerves and evening dessert and coffee. The food was beyond our expectations and the staff most attentive. We enjoyed breakfast every morning overlooking Forsyth Park. We hated to leave.

Room Tip: Cottage available for anyone wanting to bring along their canine companion.

The staff, facilities and location were wonderful. It is across the street from a beautiful park where you can stroll among the fountains, or if you are up early enough you can watch the soldiers from the local army base conduct their morning PT. It is within walking distance to many attractions in old town Savannah.

Far enough away from the buzz of RiverStreet, but close enough to still enjoy it. The Captain's room is lovely. It is upstairs and has a nice sitting room and claw foot tub. The fireplace doesn't work, but you won't need it - it was a wonderful room with a view of Forsyth Park. The innkeeper and staff are friendly and welcoming and will offer suggestions if you need them. Breakfast on the porch with the azaleas in bloom was the best start of the day you could ask for.
Located just a short walk from historic Jones Street (Mrs. Wilkes) and Crystal Beer Parlor. A bit further, about a mile from the Inn, you can visit Paula Deen's, Moon River and River Street.

Room Tip: The Captain's room is lovely. It is upstairs and has a nice sitting room and claw foot tub. The...

Excellent B&B, pleasant friendly and helpful staff, and no issues at all! I would highly recommend room #8, as it had its own private balcony with seating for 4 overlooking the courtyard garden.
The breakfasts were incredible! 5 star! Kerry and Dwayne were excellent hosts! Incredible front porch too overlooking Forsyth Park.

Upon booking our reservation, we received information on "what to do in Savannah" this gave us the opportunity to plan out our sight seeing schedule. The Inn is situated in the historic district of Savannah, and a short walk to River Street. The Inn keepers were very gracious and gave us great suggestions on where to dine as well. We enjoyed an afternoon tea, before heading out. Then enjoyed after dinner sweets upon our return. Breakfast was served the following morning as we enjoyed coffee on the front porch.
We had a wonderful weekend- the house was gorgeous-can't wait to return.
If you like ghost stories, be sure to ask the inn keeper about the ghost of a young lady that haunts the hallways of this beautiful Inn

Room Tip: room 7, also know as the Captains room, has a king sized bed and a sitting room overlooking Forsyth...

This was our 1st experience at a B&B. Forsyth Park B&B definitely spoiled us. They had wine, sangria, soft drinks, etc. along with great hor d’oeuvres to eat at 6pm every day. Then at 8pm they bring out a delicious dessert. One night we had huge strawberries dipped in different chocolates then decorated. Every morning was a gourmet breakfast. The large room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the park. All the people were so friendly. We would definitely go back to the Forsyth Park B&B. We loved our stay.

Room Tip: The corner suite we stayed in was large and sunny.

Recently went back to the Forsyth Park Inn again for the second time. As before the service was great, the food and drinks were very good and the room was excellent. Jerry, the manager was very helpful and entertaining. The park across the street was beautiful and a excellent place to walk. Be sure to ask Jerry to tell you the story of the haunted story concerning the inn. The only problem we had was that our room was on the street side which can get very noisey, other then that the inn was very enjoyable.

Room Tip: get on the back side. not as noisey from the street
