Recently returned from a trip to Alaska where our first and last night were at the BW+ Chena River Lodge.
Warmly greeted by Bella at Reception and our room was large, very clean and functional. It was slightly concerning that directly outside of our room there was a large hole in the wall! However it turned out that the previous evening a young guest had been disruptive and had knocked on all other guest doors and had kicked the wall. Thankfully we didn't see any issues when we were there. When we returned later in the week the wall was completely repaired.
Fairbanks is not a large town/city so it's easy to get around. The hotel operates a free taxi service to the airport - which is located nearby.
There is a free breakfast and this is taken in the lobby - its quite a small area and got a bit congested if your arrived at a busy time. However you could take breakfast back to your room.
Free wi-fi is avaialable and this worked fine for us.
If returning to Fairbanks wouldn't hesitate in staying the the Chena Rover Lodge again.More
