Our room was comfortable with good options for Continental breakfast. The area is quiet and it is easy to get around town. We used the shuttle from the Railroad Station which made it easy. They also will shuttle you to and from the airport.

We had a very nice stay here. The hotel is located in downtown Fairbanks, right across from Golden Heart Plaza. It is across the street from a row of stores, including a large gift shop. The hotel has a restaurant and there were many other restaurants within walking distance. Large shopping centers were within a 10 minute drive.

Our room was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect at a Springhill Suites. Breakfast was good, though seemed to have slightly less selection than other Springhill Suites (e.g. no waffle machine). The in-room wifi worked well.

During our stay, there was utility work in the area that impacted the hot water in the hotel. However the impacted times were well-posted throughout the hotel.

Dear Anthony H,

Thank you for your kind review following your recent experience at the SpringHill Suites in Fairbanks, Alaska.

We appreciate your business and loyalty to the Marriott brand.

With respect to complimentary breakfast, we do follow the standards to the letter. Waffles are indeed provided as is customary on weekends; not weekdays.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our awesome hotel in the very near future.

This hotel was a nice little surprise. I expected that it would be pretty average with small rooms and outdated decor perhaps but it was the complete opposite. It was very spacious with a small lounge area as well as mini kitchenette. It was also fairly new.

If you like showers as though you were in the Marine Corps boot camp, be sure to book a room at this hotel.

We booked and paid for five nights in this hotel; we had hot water for showers in the mornings on two of the five days.

That is totally unacceptable.

Stay away.

Room Tip: Make the hotel guarantee you hot water every morning before you book a room there.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in regards to your recent stay at the SpringHill Suites Fairbanks.

Please accept our sincere apology for the lack of hot water during your stay.

On the evening of June 1st, 2017 the hot water was shut down by the city in order to do some maintenance in the area and for this reason our boiler was unable to keep up with the hot water demand in the hotel for couple of days, the issue was resolved and I want to apologies for the inconvenience and lack of hot water.

We hope to have an opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Fairbanks.
