We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. The staff is absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. They are always willing to go the extra mile. Every recommendation they gave us was excellent. Our room was clean. We enjoyed the trail around the property.

Situated 2km from central Fairbanks, near the airport on the banks of a pretty river. Feels like an airport hotel apart from the view. Long coridors lead to box like rooms.
Free wifi. Shuttle to town.
Pay for breakfast.
Food wasn' t very good. One night had salmon which was cooked until it was dry and tasteless, then served at room temperature. Coffee was served cold at 2 meals.
Coffee machine in room had no cups. Only 2 sachets with sugar and creamer and a toothpick to stir - pretty cheap really - obviously an accountant got involved and tried to save money on the sugar and creamer.

Room tip: Ask for river view room

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of an Alaskan cruise with Princess. The hotel was comfortable. I liked it better than the one we stayed at in Denali, which was also Princess. I felt the beds were a bit more comfortable here.

There are a couple of restaurants available on property. One offered outdoor seating, which was nice. There was also a nice little walking trail we did on the hotel grounds.

If you want to go into town, shuttles are available. We took it to the REI. Fairbanks is not a large place.

Room and bed was small. Had a "chiller" not A/C which lagged it was very hot in July 2015. Nice grounds, close to airport but really nothing else; other Princess Lodges very nice. This doesn't compare
