I love the summer movie series in this park. There are always interesting folks from all walks, layed out on the park grounds like we're all one big Brooklyn family.

As brunch with friends wound down at a nearby DUMBO restaurant, our kids started getting antsy. A few short blocks from the restaurant was Brooklyn Bridge Park, the sprawling area underneath the Brooklyn-side of the iconic bridge. The younger one made a beeline for the kids’ playground, while the elder one went with one of us for ice cream at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory nearby. To top things off, we all got to snap a few pics at the beautiful carousel and of the bridges (Manhattan and Brooklyn).

With all the wonderful restaurants coming up in DUMBO, the Brooklyn Bridge Park is a convenient post-meal stop for the entire family!

My wife and I stopped by Brooklyn Bridge Park to take in the scenery of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a great place to photograph the bridge. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the park inspite of the cold rain that day. It was a lovely place.

What used to be an alleged Mafia dumping ground for people who swims with the fishes, this place has been transformed into a fantastic park, IT’S YUUUGE, thanks to Mayor Bloomberg. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. A huge and beautiful park for runners, bikers, or just strolling along.

Summer activities are numerous because of the sports facilities in the park. Go wall climbing. Go yachting even.

The best i think is the New York City Ferry that can take you to the Financial District, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Atlantic Boulevard, Sunset park, Bay Ridge, Astoria Queens, 33rd Street Manhattan (faster than the train) and all the way to Far Rockaway and Harlem even. All for the price of $2.75, unbeatable! Download the app to make your trip frictionless.

The park goes on for quite a distance, starting are the Brooklyn Bridge. They put quite a lot of effort into the greening of the whole area. It is a very relaxing area to stroll around. The area all along the water edge has been changed into open and semi-open air sporting facilites, a great idea. A very nice area to stroll around.
