They make the best Vietnamese sandwiches ever, and also so some pretty mean spring rolls. I like to stop in and pick up some stuff on my way home from work. the sandwiches are so good that I'm always tempted to buy 2 of them, but they are big. Really freshly prepared and the always use crisp baguettes. Excellent.

This is a small Vietnamese sandwich shop off 7th Avenue in Park Slope. They offer tradiitional Vietnamese sandwiches, salads, spring rolls and rice boxes There is a small counter with stools but it is mostly a take-out place. The food is fresh, well-prepared and and a great value. I am particularly fond of the spring rolls, a great deal at $4.75 for two (chicken or shrimp).

My first banh mi and it was delicious!

I'm not the best reviewer of Vietnamese food, as I can't stand the taste of cilantro (yes, I'm one of THOSE people). But I had heard so many great things about these sandwiches that I wanted to try one for myself. I came across Banhmigos while walking around the Slope with friends. There isn't much seating inside--just 3 or 4 stools and they were all taken--so we got our sandwiches to go and ate on the bench outside of the restaurant. There's no atmosphere and you can see all of the operations of the shop right behind the cash register, but when you're looking for great, cheap eats, you want substance over style.

I bought a "Da Jay" grilled pork sandwich with pickled carrots, and asked them if they could make it without cilantro, which they agreed. Although I felt I was missing something without the cilantro that others who love the taste would have liked, I really enjoyed my sandwich, which was overstuffed and full of flavor. It was huge and messy but I managed to get it all down (twss). I washed it down with an order of super-sweet Thai iced tea and had a great, inexpensive lunch in the Slope.

What a friendly staff!
Came across this little charm 3 days ago. I was strolling along Park Slope, saw the name was quite unique, took some pictures outside and the owner came out to greet me. found out that they only opened for 9 days.

it's awfully nearby the Grand Army Plaza station on the '2' & '3', 7th Ave station on the 'B' & 'Q', and Union St on the 'R' line. Not to mention, it's only two blocks from Prospect Park. Since when i'm out, I'm almost always on the run, I usually neither have the patience nor time to sit for a meal and this place is the perfect option for that. Grab and go!

The quality is top notch! It's fresh and healthy, and lots of content stuffed between the baguette. Plus, all economical. You would think for the size and quality that you're getting, you'd be paying a fortune but you're wrong! In addition, they have bubble tea and homemade coffee!

One nifty secret...they have a stamp card system, which they don't normally advertise, but if you have it, when you buy 9 sandwiches, you get the 10th one free of charge. So make bánhmìgos with the owner! :)
