A funky boutique type hotel. Obviously an old warehouse/factory building which has been renovated. They’ve done a great job with lots of wood (some of it fake), glass, steel, and original exposed brick.
My room faced Atlantic Ave., and it was very apparent that they have not done enough work on soundproofing the outside. I don’t for a moment expect total silence, but at times it almost felt like the window was partly open.
Speaking of noise, the people in the next room could be heard quite distinctly through the wall. They weren’t muffled and unclear as sometimes happens, rather they could be very clearly heard. Again total sound insulation is almost impossible, but this wast really acceptable.
Complimentary continental breakfast was included, and was a simple offering, but paper plates and plastic knives and forks? Really? Felt more like school camp than boutique hotel.
This place could be totally awesome and I really wanted to like it more more, but they fell short on just too many fronts. More
