The neighborhood has seen some other Vietnamese restaurants in the past, and they were not bad, but somehow they never survived. This place has decent food and it is cheap. The owner/manager knows us now so he smiles. Otherwise the wait staff, like most cheap places in NY, is cold and look unhappy.
Pho is good here - when I'm hungry I can eat the entire bowl of #1. The spring rolls, fried calamari and summer rolls are all pretty good too. We LOVE their pork chops and grilled pork. The Vietnamese sandwich is also good here.
