Go buy real books and support the local economy in Grand Marais. This shop is adorable and the people running it are very helpful. If you buy ten book a you get a free one and you can keep the list going year after year. It's closed Sundays in fall.

I can't make a stop in Grand Marais without paying a visit to Drury Lane books. Not only is is charming it's got a brilliant selection of books, from Pulitzer Prize-winning poets to the best in fiction (including Minnesota authors), and a marvelous selection of books about nature and local attractions. If you're a reader, you'll be amazed at the selection packed into this little shop. Very sophisticated book buyers who can anticipate your vacation-reading needs

I am a great fan of independent book stores, especially small ones in out of the way places. Drury Lane is one of my favorites. It has a great variety of topics from current affairs to mysteries to North Shore stories. I would wager that one could find a great book on its shelves not matter how much you read or what topic you favored. Please stop, support independent book stores and buy a great book to add to your library.

There are so many great selections in this bookstore you could purchase your whole years worth of reading material here. We visit once a year in the fall and always look forward to getting some good reads. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to make reading suggestions. Such a great little bookstore!
