This quaint eatery has excellent food cooked to order and the best wait staff around. Drop by for a quick bite whilst shopping the arts and crafts trail.

We stopped in this past June - too late. They closed at 4PM. So we decided to stop there again over this past weekend. We stopped shortly after 3:00PM. They had a sign that said they were closed. We won't be back there. We had eaten there 2-3 years ago & had good food. But it seems that they are closed more then open. We have friends that live down there & whenever they go by The Cabin Cafe, it's closed. Not really worth the effort when there are so many more good places to eat. Sorry!!! I really wouldn't recommend this place anymore.

This small cafe is situated in Gatlinburg's Arts and Crafts Community just a mile from Hwy 321. The chef is very accommodating to food sensitivity. Enjoyed the live music and patio tables.

The Cabin Cafe is a great place for sandwiches and they are large. The Reuben and BBQ actually had too meat on the sandwiches and I was unable to eat it all. The homemade chips are crispy and good. Also, they have a vegan menu! My husband was so happy that he was able to eat well here.

When you arrive, you just seat yourself. The sign explaining this is difficult to see, and we noticed that several customers stood by the door and finally left because they were waiting to be seated.

Also, their service is a little slow and there is the possibility that they might be out of some supplies. I don't recommend ordering a side of fresh fruit. For $1.99, the serving was extremely small.

Despite the above, we ate there twice and greatly enjoyed our meals.

We found this place via our GPS and Tripadvisor reviews. It is a quaint little place filled with local atmosphere. We came for a late lunch around 1:30ish. My husband and son had to change their order twice since they did not have the menu items available. My only complaint is that it took a very long time to receive our food which consisted of the quiche of the day and basic sandwiches (cuban, roast beet au jus, etc). Maybe because they only had one cook and the place was frequently busy mainly because it is the only cafe within the area of local arts and crafts
