“Modest and worth a morning.”

Small compared to Atlanta and Chattanooga aquariums. Good foot traffic pattern inside. Definitely caters to kids and families.

“Well Worth the Time”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

We visited the aquarium while staying at a rental cabin in Pigeon Forge. Our visit to this attraction capped off a perfect trip. We really enjoyed our time at the aquarium because there was so much to see and it was very reasonably priced. We especially liked watching the penguins. There is an area that was like walking through a giant aquarium with the marine life all around us. It was very neat to see a shark swimming above our heads! My suggestion would be to buy your tickets online and go a little early in the morning. This is what we did and other than a short wait in line it was a fantastic trip that I'm sure we'll make again. A person may also consider using the trolley instead of the paid parking.

“A great aquarium for kids and adults.”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

As far as aquariums go, this is one of the best I've been to. I've heard great things about Atlanta's, but have never been to it. You will surely enjoy it and your kids will love it.

The highlights are the penguins, the shark lagoon (witht the tunnel and the ray tank.

make sure you get a picture of your child in the penguin tube. It's a great feature.

We had a great time and it was one of the highlights of the week in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area. Be aware that it is rather expensive.

“Great way to spend a rainy day . . . or a sunny day!”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

We visited the aquarium in Gatlinburg on our way home from a Pigeon Forge vacation. We all had a wonderful time! We were able to view the attractions at our own pace so the kids (ages 8, 8, and 10) could spend as much time as they liked at each exhibit.

Different shows run about every 30 minutes so there's plenty of opportunity to learn more facts about the various animals. We watched the penguin feeding show and the diver show and both were good. We didn't get to see them feed the sharks because they only do that once a day early in the morning. If you want to see that, you will need to be there when the aquarium opens. They also have penguin feeding on a couple of days a week where the kids can pet and feed the penguins. We didn't get to do that because we went on a Wednesday.

The staff was very friendly and there were even opportunities for us to touch the stingrays and some kind of crab. The kids really liked that! All in all, a great few hours!
