We read reviews and decided to try this for breakfast. I had the spinach eggs Benedict. My husband had eggs and pecan smoked bacon. Our friends had an omelet and eggs with a huge piece of course try ham. It was a good breakfast and the staff were very attentive.

I have never seen such a breakfast so full of flavor and granny’s recipes. From hoe cakes to corn pones to corned beef hash, the menu was authentic. The walls stuffed with memorabilia made for lively conversations and sweet memories.

While the food wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either.

We came in half an hour before they closed, and maybe that's why we had a bad meal, but I doubt it. We were seated promptly without a wait. The menus are served on newspapers which are cool, but when you have multiple people crammed into a booth and everyone is opening these huge newspapers it can be kind of uncomfortable.

Our server was friendly, however she was too friendly and very obnoxious. Whatever, I let that slide.

We order, "pancakes", french toast, some cinnamon rolls, and a kid's breakfast.

Food was served somewhat quick, but the pancakes were interesting.

You see, these aren't pancakes, it was closer to cornbread. It was at least 3 inches thick on each "pancake". No way anyone could eat all of it.

The Stuffed French Toast, was burnt and hard.

The cinnamon rolls didn't just have icing on it, it was submerged in icing. Nasty.

The only thing good was the scrambled eggs.

Why did I decide to go here instead of Pancake Pantry?!?

It may have been because they were super busy but we didn’t get the best service and our food wasn’t that good. The menu was on a news paper and it was hard to read, the food was warm not hot and it took a while on refills. Probably won’t go back.
