I could not recommend Nalini highly enough, the owners staff and chief could not be more accommodating.

The hotel’s restaurant serves amazing food, some of the best we have ever had.

They recommended we awake for sunrise which you get uninterrupted views of from the beach front. After this hundreds and hundreds of fishing boats return from their morning fishing which in itself is a spectacle to behold.

Lovely review Ben, Thank you. You grabbed the essence of Nalini in a few simple words. Ari

Didn't stay here but the restaurant was recommended to us. Without a doubt the best restaurant we have eaten at in bali. A real hidden jem for amed.
Great staff, chef and relaxed atmosphere. The menu is a nice change from the generic menu's around amed that all seem to offer the same thing.
Highly recommend.

We loved this place! The setting is gorgeous, the restaurant on the beach is lovely, the small pool is refreshing, the staff is fabulous, and it's very quiet!

Our large room was impeccably clean and bright. It had AC, wifi, and an open-air shower (fully enclosed) in the large bathroom. There was a small fridge and a water jug. The room and our front porch seating area looked out to a lovely garden space but it was just steps to the pool and restaurant.

There is a newly opened on-site, open-air yoga studio that overlooks the ocean, and the teacher I had for my sunset session was fabulous. They also offer massage services for a very reasonable price. Hurts so good.

If you are someone who wants a lot of nightlife or constantly needs to be doing something/going places, this may not be the place for you. If you're into relaxing and hanging out, this place is excellent.

There is no sandy beach at this property, and the entry for snorkeling is challenging. The combination of waves and rocks while we were there made it really hard to get in and out. Perhaps on calmer days it would be easier. The conditions also made it impossible to see at the Japanese wreck which is quite a close swim.

One of the best things we did here was get up at 6:30 to watch the sun rise and the fishing boats come in. Hundreds of boats with their unique sails came in within an hour or so of the sunrise. It was beautiful!

The hotel staff picked us up in Ubud (thanks, Ari) and arranged for an airport dropoff as well. They also arranged transport up to the Liberty wreck for us with a special stop to get bamboo straws on the way back.

There are some other hotels with restaurants within walking distance, although the Nalini chef is really top notch.

This hotel is a good value and highly recommended for some R&R time.

Thank you for your comment. We are now building a small entry into the water to make it easier over the small rocks. Ari

We stayed in Nalini for 10 nights in June 2018, longer than the normal stay but we wanted some where quiet and peaceful to relax after a hectic year. And that is exactly what we got. The resort has a beachfront location on the outskirts of Ahmed – it is very quiet – if you want an easy walk in to town this is not the place for you - but the resort was great at arranging transport to restaurants and the nearest sandy beach.
There is no phone signal but the WiFi is good.
Nalini itself is lovely, the rooms are beautifully – simply decorated with local art, a comfortable bed and nice touches such as a large water bottle on a stand and flowers. The bathroom was lovely, double showers open to the sky – a shower under the stars was glorious. There is a small pool with a pool bar and a few comfortable sun loungers – some days we had the whole place to ourselves. They were finishing off the new yoga studio and cookery kitchen while we were there – but this didn’t cause us any disturbance.
The food in the small restaurant on site was good, a mix of local, Thai and European dishes – if you want to try something different try the chef’s surprise – they came out different every time! The restaurant staff were lovely, as were all the staff. A special mention must go to Jordan who keeps the ground lovely and showed such care and pleasure in his work.
We booked a few trips through the resort - Temples, Water Places and a traditional village. Ari the owner is a knowledgeable guide, who was happy to build the trips around what we wanted to see. Our favourite was a sunset boat trip with Ari and his cousin – the view of the sunsetting behind the volcano was stunning. But our favourite thing about the resort was getting up early to watch the sunrise over the sea and a little later the fishing boats coming in – something I will never forget.
It has a large stoney/pebble beach that makes it a bit difficult to get in and out, water shoes are a must! The Japanese ship wreck is just a few hundred meters along the beach, an easy to snorkel that would be good for beginners – lots of fish, coral and we even saw a turtle. There is a scuba school nearby which does lessons but while we there it never got too busy.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. We had a room with a Sea veiw. very nice.

We spent 3 nights at Nalini early July and loved everything about it.
Their new yoga Shala is amazing and i was lucky enough to have a lesson with their learned guru.
So many things about this place - just swim to the Japanese Wreck, enjoy the best breakfast so far during our trip and to top it off we met Gus, the Chef. A wonderful array of interesting dishes not found anywhere along the Amed coast.
We did not leave the resort as just no need to ..... everything on hand.
Highly recommend from a seasoned traveller throughout southeast Asia
Oh and forgot to mention the beds. Best Sleep. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
Nalini Resort you have nailed it...

Room Tip: Rooms with seaview great, but also pool room or garden rooms gorgeous
