“Good stay”
Reviewed 15 January 2012

We have stayed there 1 night, just after arriving in the morning, thus we could enjoy the pool, sea and beach. Great atmosphere, entrance and hotel staff.

It is possible to walk on the beach to Kuta and Seminyak, 20-30min or to use the free private bus of the hotel in order to see around and find some nice little restaurants and bars. Not that far from Ku De Ta.

I liked the welcoming atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and very good facilities. Great breakfast buffet!

I disliked perhaps the location of our room (back side and view on a big wall, but quiet!)

Room Tip: Try to have a room with view on the beach, suite in this hotel is excellent

Booked for nine nights. The hotel is old but nice. Good outlook.
Seaview room number 409, top floor. Great view. Fresh air, No mossies.
Room was very clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. We slept very well. Renovated bathroom, tiled from floor to ceiling, large separate shower and lots of hot water. Split a/c worked well. Noisy on the balcony but ok inside and healthy as you do not get other people smells and germs.
We had some disco noises one night from the beach Warung next door but this did not disturb us. Also the hotel had some entertainment when we were there and we enjoyed listening to it. The hotel is at the "back of woop woop", so quiet, no loud yobbos, just friendly guests. The swimming pool is very clean. There were "pool noodles" for the guests to use. The Staff were very friendly and happy, creating a pleasant athmosphere. Breakfast was good, we had dinner once and it was good and the price was fair. We were entertained with some traditional Balinese dancers.
Taxi to Kuta or near by was between $4 and $6.50.
There are four warung on the left along the beach. Good food, very good price, nice outlook. A lot of expat use it for dinner. Another warung on the right end side is still under construction.

Negative:
a) Not enough coat hangers (5) We bought a dz from tBintan supermarket in Semiyak for $2.50.
b) The renovated bathroom did not have any hooks for clothes. We use the side of the bath to store our clothes while we had a shower.
c) No clothes airer available on the balcony to dry our swimmers.
d) The beach was not very clean. They do rake it but the waves bring bits and pieces regularly.

Room Tip: Out of the whole complex, Seaview rooms are the best. 409 balcony was private and had a good view. 4...

An average sized resort fronting the beach. Rooms looks old like what some reviewers said. The "sofa" cushion really needs to be replaced. However, the basic cleaniness was there in both the room and bathroom. Stay on the 4th level which is the sea-facing room. Had great view of the sea and you can even hear the huge crashing waves with the balcony door closed.
Service was good but could be better. Stayed in another resort before this and experienced better service. Resort does provide shuttle service to Kuta and main Seminyak area but you will have to book 1 hour in advance.
Breakfast at the restaurant was good! Sea facing, good food, sea-breeze!
Overall was a good experience only that the location is at the far end of Seminyak area where there isn't much shops/restaurant outside the resort. Good for those who are seeking peace but not a good choice for the party-goers.

Room Tip: Get the sea facing room on level 4!

I booked this as a spur of the moment decision for a quick 2 night stay in Bali.
A BIG PLEASANT surprise.
The rooms are very spacious with the best shower I have had in Bali. The rooms too have a large bath, totally separate toilet and without a doubt the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a hotel for years.
Staff are very obliging.
Breakfast buffet is quite good.
Pool area , facing the beach, is really a perfect size.
Only negative: the location is too far away from many of the better restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw were excellent/

Nice balinese designed hotel overall. Great beachfront location, even though it is public beach with public crowds from nearby dwellings. Room feels and smells old and tired, beds are worn out and thus very soft - a no no for those hard bed sleepers. Location is a little far out, it is not within comfortable walking distance to places to eat. But you can always ask the hotel to call in a taxi.

Hotel property was right on beach. Stayed in garden view room which looked onto vacant lot next to property. Didn't matter, not much time was spent in the room and it was clean and A/C worked well. Breakfast in morning was great, both hot and cold foods, great view from eating area as well. Staff was very courtious and helpful. The location was a lot quieter than Kuta beach area. Many great restaurants and shops a short taxi ride away. Great BBQ and drinks at Naughty Nuri's Warung which was a 2 min walk from hotel entrance.

We got back today 20th November 2011 From bali. We stayed at Grand Balisani Suites.
We stayed at this hotel for our Honeymoon.
The service, staff and the cleanliness of the hotel is very good. Its a older style hotel but it is very clean and it has very beautiful views if you get a sea view room. The garden view rooms are also beautiful but the sea view room is nicer. There is contraction going on next door but we did not hear it as we where on the sea view side.
The room service was very good and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are all ways making sure you are happy. They have a (free) shuttle bus run every day at different times of the day. It will drop you into Kuta and a few more places around that area. The only down side is that they dont pick you back up . Its about 1 hour in the day away from Kuta but 20 min at night.
They have different things on every second night for dinner and entreatment. It was very good.
We loved the breakfast and it was very yummy. Its buffet its yummy with pancakes rice pork chicken and fruit and pasties. We also had dinner there a few nights and it was very good but they dont have a big variety of food if you stay there more then a week.
Its is very close to the beach very good for surfers. Its is very beautiful. There is also two pubs/restraints across the road and its very nice food and cheap drinks.
The swimming pool and swimming pool bar s very good. Prices are good.
The massage center gives very nice massages.
Over all it was a blast and i would stay there again. It was a nice place for a honeymoon if you dont really want to leave your hotel. If you want night life Kuta or Legion is the place to be.
They ran us a cold bath as it was very hot with rose pedals and decorated the bed with love birds for our honeymoon. Also after dinner they brought us a congrats cake for our honeymoon. Very happy.

Room Tip: Sea view room. Try to hire a driver for the day. Ask around. We got a driver for the whole day for...
