We have just spent 2 weeks at Putu Bali. This is certainly a hidden gem with uniquely Bali characteristics. Being a small boutique hotel it isn't the touristy madness that one experiences elsewhere.

The rooms are wonderful, large & comfortable of a traditional Balinese design & decor. The outdoor shower is different & quite an experience, particularly if you have the pleasure of a couple of marauding squirrels for company!!

The staff are friendly, attentive & go out of their way to assist. The breakfasts are fine serving both traditional Indonesian fare as-well-as western style cereal, eggs, toast etc. The food overall is good & cheap compared to surrounding restaurants, although a fairly staple menu.

They have an excellent cover band that plays twice a week out the front - fantastic talent.

We will be back & recommend Putu Bali highly.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the back are quieter

A lovely little hideaway. Very clean and tidy, the rooms are beautiful. We loved the outdoor shower in our Deluxe villa. Staff are very friendly and helpful. So nice to see a decent sized fridge.
A little out of the way if you are into the whole hustle and bustle of Kuta thing. We wanted quiet so we had no problems at all. approx 35-50,000 rp to get into central Kuta depending on the time of day. Pool area is beautiful but very deep about 2m all round so maybe not suitable for children. WIFI access brilliant very strong signal.
We had a lovely time and won't hesitate to recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet, well away from the street and very private.

The place is nice & quiet. The room is very clean and spacious. I like the way they design the shower and the kitchen area. It looks so cute :) Friendly staff made our stay became more enjoyable. Nice buffet breakfast (just make sure you come for breakfast early when all the food still plenty and warm). The only downside is the villa does not look attractive from outside, which is a pitty, because inside the villa itself is quite nice. Their small restaurant at night doesn't look inviting either. We did not try the food until the night before we left. We were very surprised, food was beautiful!
Definitely will be back!

Room Tip: Might be best to book a room further away from the pool area if you want a quiet place.

It was close to our last days in Bali. We visit Bali quite frequently but never stayed in this area of Bali. It was in a less crowded area than Kuta. When we arrived the reception we encountered was warm and welcoming. We received a welcome drink as we got the paperwork done with no problem at all. We walked down the picturesque pathway where we passed the pool, which was nice and clean with a small wet bar, then headed towards our room. The room we had was the bottom floor of the "Deluxe Pavillion". It was very nice and clean. Floors were clean. Bed was clean with a mosquito net (we didn't experience any mosquitoes) and AC. Another door lead to a kitchenette which was well equipped. You could also draw back the shutters for a more open feel. At the back was the washroom area. It was an indoor/outdoor concept which was a deal breaker when we booked online. It had a giant size tub and a separate shower that was set in a stone area...very pretty. And of course a toilet in a separate area. Breakfast was served in the restaurant upstairs where they made eggs a la minute for you and a buffet. Good service there as well. For us, it was one of those hotels where we wanted to stay in our room because it was so nice and convenient because of the amenities. The person at the reception, I think his name is Alit (forgive me if I got your name wrong if you are reading this), he and the staff were very nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thank you everyone at The Putu Bali Villa...we'll see you again.

Room Tip: Can't remember which room we were staying in but it was a bottom floor of the Deluxe Pavillion . We really liked this room. It wasn

Stayed here for four nights end of July with some friends.
We had the family Villa rooms, they were of a good size with outdoor
Bathrooms/toilet and a small kitchen (not sure why anyone would want to cook in Bali
But it might come in handy for families with young kids)
The hotel is on the smaller side (you will not get much privacy) with a good sized pool.
Good if you want to explore the island and don’t want to spend much time in the hotel.
The location was great close to all the places we liked lots of good restaurants near by.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
We had breakfast only once (very basic but ok) and decided to go down to Biku (great)
Restaurant instead.
Would stay again for a short time at the right price but there are many (too many) hotels in Bali and I would shop around to see what else is available.
