First of all this is NOT a five Star hotel. This despite the charming and attentive staff. The main problems can be blamed on shoddy build quality, and Accor should put this right or down grade the hotel and charge less. At present it is overpriced and of very mixed quality. It compares unfavourably with the Pullman BKK.
The PROS:
A good location if you want to be in Kuta; not too busy.
Pools are relaxing and sunsets spectacular.
Generally clean
The CONS:
The room walls are very thin and you will be treated to listening to the TV and conversations from next door.
The room doors slam shut with such force you are reminded of living in a prison corridor. This noise is compounded by the spartan nature of the corridors, thus sound carries alarmingly at all hours of the day and night.
The 'free' room wifi does not exist (problems with connections according to the staff).
The Ocean View rooms have a good view of the beach but this is across a noisy and busy road making the decks unusable. Moreover, the poor sound proofing means the 24 hour traffic will disturb your sleep (save your money and stay in a garden view if you must stay here).
Insufficient shade at the roof top pool. For some reason they only bought three umbrellas.

Overall, I would not recommend here. If you want Five Star hotels go to Nusa Dua. This hotel needs to go back to the drawing board. However, most of the guests seem to be one night tourists on a package, so I guess the management can get away with the faults. For the tourist with a choice STAY ELSEWHERE.

Arrived late at night and only one person on check-in so it took a while, finally got to our room,it was fantastic,on the 5th loor overlooking the Legian Beach, heard comments about noisy nightclub downstairs we never heard a thing and the next day went looking for the night club and could'nt even find it, some people just are out to make trouble with stupid comments. Room was large with a huge bathroom seperate shower and a huge bath, only complaint was n\loose noisy floorboards outside bathroom door, needs attaention. The pool was on 3rd floor with an infinaty edge so you could over he beach for a perfect sunset. my wife used the Spa and loved it said it was the best she has been in. Breakfast had a uge variety of excellent food with great service. The Hotel is in probably the best positio in Legian and we will definately stay again on our next trip to the Isle of Smiles
