I wasn't sure what to expect after I read reviews on this hotel......the noisy floorboards, smells, pool area, and slow internet. I will admit, i was slightly worried.....We have just recently returned from Bali and stayed at the Pullman for 13 nights in a deluxe king room on the 4th floor. I am happy to report, that our stay was fantastic. It IS a huge hotel and staff were always very accommodating and helpful. We made use of ,the gym daily, the free Internet in the interactive room, both of the pools and really enjoyed our overall stay.
ROOMS- were cleaned twice daily and they always did an impeccable job and were never intrusive, if it was not a convenient time for us.
POOLS-The main pool is well shaded and offers a rather well priced poolside menu ( we were pleasantly surprised). The infinity pool is beautiful to swim in and watch the sunset at the end of the day but (as mentioned in other reviews), lack of shade was a factor for us, and we avoided this pool in the heat of the day.
BREAKFAST- was very memorable and one of the best in offering variety, we have experienced in a hotel- a variety for anyone and everyone, whatever their palate. Special mention must go to the 4 tiered chocolate fountain and ice cream bar. Not for us, first thing in the morning, but worth a mention :)We found it to be too expensive , especially for Bali, so we opted to only to do it twice during our stay. (Local restaurants closeby offer breakfast for around AUD $4-$6 pp)

ROOMs-The only thing I feel the need to mention, is the thin walls. On our first night, we could hear the room next door and their antics a little too clearly! They checked out the next day, so all was ok.
A couple of times during our 13 day stay, we were kept awake by room directly above ours until approx 2am. Sounds of moving of furniture and banging around. We soon came to realise that the room above ours was used for housekeeping.....We mentioned it twice to reception, who advised that the guests above us were checking out after 2 nights. ( not sure who was making the racket housekeeping or guest?)but considering this was only 2 nights of a 2 week stay, it was not a huge deal for us and did not dampen our experience of our stay.

INTERNET-Free usage of the 3x Internet terminals in the interactive room, was a bonus we did not expect. I was prepared to purchase a sim card to use my in Bali, but found no need to, with the free facility available. It was open 24/7.
The interactive room also offered relaxation leather lounges with reading lights, tv, power points to charge any electronics and a variety of reading materials. In addition, the rest rooms attached to this room had a shower in both the male and females, fully stocked to shower after you check out and if you have a late flight. The bathrooms were always kept clean with cleaning staff frequently restocking toiletries and towels.

We would return if in the same area of Bali, as the location is so central and convenient.

We recenty stayed at the Pullman for 6 days on our first trip to Bali. Whilst initially there was a mix up with the bedding we booked (possibly wrong information on the wotif website), after a rather lengthy discussion and insistence on my part we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite at no extra cost.
The suite was overlooking the main water feature and the garden so was quiet and very relaxing.
Corridors leading to the rooms were a little drab and uninteresting and the floors in the rooms were very noisy but overall the positives outweighed the negatives.
Staff were polite, pools were great, gardens were immaculate, breakfast was delicious and its location is central.
I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and would definitely stay there again on our next trip.
A very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Corner suites are great!

The staff were great, location was good, pools excelent BUT the last 4 days the smell i kept getting in my room i had to keep ringing and they came up with the spray but it really spoilt my holiday it just smelt like raw sewage it really put a damper on my stay at the pullman which is such a shame as everything else was great.
