We have been staying at this Hotel for some years now and reviews from other guests are pretty well spot on and has always been a great stay for manly 55+ aged guests, but unfortunately the younger Australian generation have found the place and are arriving in family groups, who at times are quite noisy, and have little consideration for other guests and being a group, at times take up most of the pool loungers, and other guest are now being forced to place their towels on sun loungers long before they used them, this practice is not allowed, but never enforced by staff, on our last stay we were never able to get a sun lounge "once" even though there were empty sun lounges, that had towels on them. Towels are another problem as guests are hogging towels, causing a shortage for other guests, many a time, there haven't been any pool towels available.
Management have been slowly refurbishing the Hotel and the refurbished rooms look very nice, but unfortunately, management have increased the room tariffs, and compared to other new Hotels in close proximity to Sinar, the room rate is now to high, causing long time returning guests to look elsewhere and as much as we have enjoyed our stays over the years at Sinar, we are now one of those guests and now stay at the Baleka Resort and Spa, just around the corner from Sinar Bali. The Baleka Hotel is very much like Sinar, but bigger, more modem, better room choice and cheaper room rates.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the steps, rooms upstairs are quitter. Any ground level rooms other than 1 & 28 as the staff congregate and are very nosy.

We have stayed at sinar bali a few times over the last 5 years now never had a bad stay. .Great pool clean and sunny with shade areas if required. Good atmosphere around this hotel with many return visiters Which says a lot for this hotel. O K its not the flashiest hotel in Bali but for the price you should be happy. A safe sanctuary old bali style place. Close to the beach near to many resturaunts and nice and quite.

The Hotel Sinar Bali is the first and only place I have stayed in Bali. My partner and I took our 6 month old daughter on her first overseas adventure and we couldn't be happier. A cosy room poolside, more like a little bungalow in Legian. Walking distance to the beach, plenty of good restaurants and bars close by and only a short ride, drive or cab to Kuta if you want to up the ante. A reasonable selection for breakfast each day, with eggs and pancakes to your liking made to order. The pool is fantastic and room or poolside service was great, with good food and Bintang the only beverage of the beer variety it seems in all of Bali. Overall highly recommended and we will return when we revisit Bali for sure.

My two teenage daughters and I stayed here for 18days. Even though the room was abit small because of 3 single beds and 3 females trying to dress at once, but very comfortable beds. My friend & her husband had plenty room just for 2. The staff cannot accommodate enough to keep you happy. A smaller hotel suited us as it was more intimate, older style with balanese feel. Danny at the pool bar was so happy & friendly. It advertised 24hr room service for food, but restaurant closes about 11pm,but there is plenty of places open late. They do offer McDonalds delivery, but I didn't want to eat what we can get at home. They stock the fridge with drinks, but I found a supermarket just out to the left of the hotel that sell bingtangs for $1.70aus and Smirnoff & cola cheap too. Oh yes and cigarettes are about $1.80.Dont go to the supermarket to the right cigs are dearer. Oh yeh, and barbi rogers was staying there at the time also!

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 are close to the kitchen, and rooms 7&8 & 11&12 are near stairs can sometimes be noisy. They also have bungalow
