Owner description: Nominated for designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Jatiluwih offers a beautiful view of contoured rice terraces irrigated using an impressive communal water system developed by Balinese farmers. The scenic drive through the quaint villages and verdant slopes of the central coastal regency of Tabanan adds to the experience.

22March2012, second stop after Tanah Lot in the morning. The journey taken almost 1.5hrs with the uphill and downhill road(bumpy and many pothole). These stretch of road was totally no maintenance at all. But our driver(Wayan) skills are experience to manoeuvre his car as to minimize our pleasant journey. But once reached there, I assure you all your tiredness inside the car will worth it.

Before that day, we had been to tegalalang(another rice terraces). At Jatiluwih, the scenic view was so magnificent...and huge as compare to tegalalang. Please refer to the pictures i attached. I suggest if your itinerary include of viewing rice terraces, go Jatiluwih. Others' rice terraces in Bali are unable to compare with.
Travel Tips : save your entrance fees for other means, overall it is the same rice terraces.

great scenary with it's terrace paddy. beautiful like the yuan yang terrace at China. The cons is the road to go in;---it is in bad condition and narrow , should repair it or make it wider.

On entry into Jatiluwih, pay a small entrance fee and continue to drive to see picture perfect views of rice fields as far as the eye can see. These rice terraces are the most beautiful in Bali. Stop at the roadside to enjoy breathtaking views and take lots of photos. We stayed awhile to enjoy the view while having our lunch in a small roadside warung bordering the rice fields. It was a windy day and we enjoyed the fresh air, food and view. Really peaceful!

Jatiluwih is situated along the road from north east Bali to Denpasar, lies within the Tabanan region. Panoramic rice field terrace had never felt so peaceful. You can stop at any spot & nothing will block this magnificent scenery!Once entering the village, all vehicle must pay "entrance fee",not sure how much, definitely less than USD2. Thr aren't many cars along this road, take your time...cherish the lush greenery..
