Two of our families one from Japan and one from Kuwait traveled all the way to see the lovely country side and to experience what we have seen in the images of the hotel on the web….
It was so exciting…. A unique hotel in the middle of a Tea Plantation with a heated pool… Enjoyed every moment of the stay… The hospitality of the staff, food, room service, SPA and all the other facilities were amazing… Specially, the front office staff Sanduni Vidurangi and her colleague were so professional and helpful from the day I called them for clarifications from Kuwait, until we left the hotel after three days stay. Can highly recommend for relaxing…. You will experience something beyond what you see from images which is not the case most of the time…. Thank you Amaya Langdala team for the memories…. Will see you all again….

Cheers

This is a beautiful Estate bungalow surrounded by a beautiful tea plantation. We were informed that there will be a buffet for dinner and breakfast since all rooms have been booked. But there were a la-carte menus with very limited selection. However food was tasty.Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Swimming pool heaters were not functioning during the stay. There is nothing much to say about the landscape and gardening where they can improve on. Available facilities are not worth the price paid.

This hotel has nice views of the tree plantations. But if you see closely, it is just an english estate house with some 12-13 rooms, that's it. The rooms have an old world feel and are not contemporary. If you are that kind of a person, you are likely to enjoy it more. The heated pool was under maintenance, that was one of the experiences we would have liked to have noting that there isnt much else to do.
The natural lighting in one of the eating areas is lovely especially during the day. One of their staff Ponchi is fun to interact and was accomodating of all our requests. The food is ala carte only with very limited options changing every daay, but they are cooked well, in line with the best hotels around.
Overall more for the chills, views and tranquility, I rate it as a good experience.
