We downloaded a self guided tour and had a delightful time. Highly recommend doing this. We took an Uber from French for $9. So beautiful and lots of fun to see the architecture. The world is beautiful!

Absolutely love the Garden District, obsessed with the homes. Would love to retire there one day! The people are friendly, the scenery is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is calm and serene. The cultural backstory of the homes artistry and architecture is a historical gem.

If you love looking at historical homes then you must see the beauties dotted all night the streets of this part of the city. Some of them were all decked out still from Mardi Gras! Absolutely stunning and I wish I owned one!!

During our stay (Feb 11-17th 2018 - Mardi Gras week) we took the St. Charles (Green line) trolley to visit the Garden District. The Trees are stunning. The Magnolia trees were in bloom. The main street has beautiful little shoppes and good food. You might want to try "Sucre" from some sweets!
