This was our second time staying at Hotel Storyville. The location along Esplanade is perfect for getting to Voodoofest and Jazzfest- and there are two bikeshare stops withing three blocks as well. It's also just a short walk to the French Quarter and to Frenchmen Street (which is where we prefer to go out to catch some music at night).
Both rooms #6 and #8 have similar layouts with a full kitchen and enough room between the table and bed for me to even do a little yoga in the morning. The beds are extremely comfortable with what I'm guessing is a memory foam top and there are plenty of pillows to choose from.
My only critique (and this is not enough to take away from the 5 stars) is that the curtains are all very light and breezy and so it'll be light in the room as soon as the sun rises. As a really light sleeper I have blackout curtains at home and I would recommend bringing an eye mask if you're anything like me.
But again, great location, great rooms at a reasonable price, and the owner is awesome and helpful, highly recommended!More
