I have an SLR camera and have taken some intro classes, but prior to taking these American Photo Safari classes, I really didn’t get how basic photography concepts worked together. I ended up doing both the French Quarter and the Garden District tours. Both were *amazing*. I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tours, so Natasha was able to work with me one-on-one on understanding and implementing the basics. She also helped me compose some incredible pictures. I learned a LOT. I definitely recommend both tours.

Natasha was an excellent guide and did a great job of teaching photography and combining the history of New Orleans. She was patient and tailored her tips and tricks to my skill level which was much appreciated. I feel like I made big strides in the quality of my photos and learned about ways to shoot that I never would have imagined on my own. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans who wants to improve their photography skills

This is a great way of combining photography with a walking tour. I was the only one on the tour so it amounted to a private tour of the Garden district, covering cemetery, homes, gardens and local knowledge. Guide was excellent, lovely lady who was very keen to share knowledge about photography and the area.

The American Photo Safari tour was the perfect alternative way to see the French Quarter. Natasha gave just enough history and facts about the area. There was only two of us so we focused on different ways to compose photos - - puddle reflections, window reflections, focusing on shapes and colors....It was eye opening and helped me take photos from a different perspective.

You can learn from this regardless of your skill level or if you are only using your cellphone to take photos.
