We had a group of 20+ people so we had the place to ourselves. The instructor was informative and so entertaining! The food was delicious - chicken and andouille sausage gumbo, crawfish etouffee with rice and bananas foster. And a 10% discount in the shop. I highly recommend this experience.

Our 3 hour class was filled with fun, laughter, great stories and conversation with new people, all while we were learning about the differences between Creole and Cajun cooking. Staff were very accommodating, from the snacks, wine and beer choices to the menu options, including our less common choice of rabbit fricasse. Well-stocked with good cookware and knowledgeable staff, this 3 hour class flew by and it was well beyond 5 PM when we left. They were helpful in meeting everyone’s needs to take their food home with them. Would highly recommend this fun experience while in New Orleans.

Awesome time with family! Lynn and her staff were amazing teachers, great story tellers about their cooking. Private class was so much fun and learned a great deal. I would highly recommend!! Great time!

We often take cooking classes with our children when we travel to new cities and countries. It helps them learn about the culture and history, and of course lowers their inhibitions about some of the "foreign" foods they encounter through travel. We registered for this class online, and were in a class with 7 other people, and our instructor was Anne, who was the perfect mix of expertise and empowerment. Nothing worse than cooking classes where you are forced to do it their way or they are constantly grabbing the knife from your hand. Anne was happy to offer a new technique of suggestion if asked or just compliment you on your method. This allowed my 10 year old to happily taste her Jambalaya and throw in more salt without fearing scrutiny. Besides Jambalaya, we made Etoufe and Bananas Foster. Wine was available as well as ice tea, water and other non-alcoholic options. We sat down to enjoy our meal together. It was such a lovely evening with many interesting people, and absolutely delicious food! Bonus: there is a gorgeous shop attached to the kitchen where you can buy spices, hot sauces and other kitchen/dining items. Tip: don't make dinner reservations that night! You will be full...

Great cooking classes and I learned many new tips to my favorite dishes. The cooks are great and patience as she teaches you how to prepare authentic creole dishes. Can highly recommend for a 2-3 hours cooking class. Great fun!!!
