My mom and I wanted a girl's weekend for our birthdays and this was perfect. It was convenient to the streetcar which took us everywhere we wanted to go. The courtyard was nice to have breakfast outside and wine and cheese at night. It was quiet and clean. The rooms were very warm, just like you would expect in a Bed and Breakfast. I'm ready to go back.

My wife and I stayed at Avenue Inn for our anniversary. Joe and Bebe were gracious and helpful hosts, providing us with great recommendations about things to do in NOLA and how to best do them - it was my first time in the city and my wife's first time in 30 years. The facilities were top-notch. The Inn is a beautiful old home with wonderful furnishings and family heirlooms (which were quite fascinating). Our room was great - large, but very comfortable - and everything worked like a charm (not always the case in many B&Bs). The complimentary breakfasts were just right to start our mornings and there were plenty of snacks and drinks available (free of charge) to fuel us throughout the day. The location was perfect - right on beautiful St Charles Avenue - with access to the St Charles streetcar a few steps from the front door. We were within a short ride or walk to all the major attractions and restaurants at this location. We definitely will be staying with Joe and Bebe when we next visit NOLA and recommend that you stay with them too!

We certainly appreciate the very kind words of this couple. They really took extra time to detail their experience and we are so happy that their anniversary will be a memorable one. We look forward to having them back.

Lovely home with large comfortable rooms. The owners are very helpful with recommendations of places to eat and places to visit. Right at a stop on the streetcar line made it easy to go to the French Quarter. Enjoyed our first experience in a B and B.

I've been remiss not commenting on my many stays at Avenue Inn over the last year. With my daughter just completing her freshman year at Tulane, I've had the chance to stay at Avenue Inn on numerous occasions, (over 8 different occasions). The mansion is beautiful, with large guest rooms decorated with many cool antiques. Rooms are always well prepared for my arrival. It's always great seeing Joe, Bebe and Nedra.

When guests become regulars we so enjoy having them stay with us. This is but one of many "college" families that come here during the student's four year residency at school. We are so humbled to see that they make their home away from home our historic mansion.

We recently returned from a 5 night stay at Avenue Inn B&B and really enjoyed our stay with Joe and Bebe. We got a warm welcome when we arrived that included freshly baked cookies. It is an old mansion and furnished appropriately with many antiques. I had booked a king room and we were put in a large, lovely suite on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The bathroom had a claw foot tub and a separate shower. Wifi and parking are free. After long days of walking it was great to get back to the Inn and relax in our room. A real plus was the assortment of snacks/fruit and bottles of water that are available to guests 24/7. Breakfast was more European than a lot of B&Bs and included boiled eggs, fresh cakes/pastries, bagels/toast, fruit and cheese snacks. Bebe made it clear when I booked what they offered for breakfast. It was plenty to start your day and with all the good restaurants in NOLA we were happy to eat light. The streetcar has a stop right in front of the Inn. It's supposed to run every 20 minutes during the day but is not always reliable. It is about 3 miles to downtown and the French Quarter so you really do need to use the streetcar - also make sure you have exact change! We would definitely stay at Avenue Inn again. It is was great to get away from the commotion of downtown and come back to a quiet place to relax and sleep. Gloria and Fred
