The Ave Inn is ideally located on St Charles Ave, a streetcar ride away from shopping, dining and other attractions in NOLA. The Inn is a beauty with lovely furnishings and spacious rooms, all with private baths. Our room had 3 walls of windows & 2 double beds that were incredibly comfortable. The Innkeepers are friendly and helpful. There is a nice restaurant next door where we purchased the tastiest King Cake ever. There is also a coffee/beignet shop next to the restaurant. Free parking around back was also appreciated. The price was reasonable and the continental breakfast was plentiful. If you expect a homecooked gourmet breakfast at a B&B this may not be the right fit for you but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Joe and BeBe.

What a wonderful introduction to America! My family arrived from Australia after an exhausting 2 days of travel and were met with wonderful hospitality from Joe and Bebe. It is not easy to find B&Bs in a party town like New Orleans that are suitable for kids. (I was attending a conference for work). My then 8 and 12 year old talked all through the rest of our three month trip about this wonderful B& B and voted it their favourite. They loved that Joe spoke directly to them when we arrived and laid down the rules (very few...just to respect other guests and not be too noisy) quickly followed up with an invitation to help themselves to the snacks! They aslo loved the relaxed feel which meant they could head down to breakfast on their own, help themselves to food and sometimes chat to the other guests or watch TV! We loved the location and the fact that I could walk out the front door and catch a cable car/tram straight to the center of town to my conference at the Sheraton. Loved those trips every morning!. Nothing was ever too much for Joe and Bebe, including that we messed up our booking and neeed to stay an extra night. They were always available to assist with advice, booking taxis and tours. Nothing was every too much trouble. The rooms were magnificent, clean and comfortable. Also there were lots of great places to eat close by. We recommend this B&B to everyone, but really want to stress for those seeking family friendly accommodation this is the place. Thank you Joe and Bebe and we are sorry it has taken so long to write this review!

Talk about luck! Our first visit to New Orleans, and we found the best bargain in town. The Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast has it all: location, beauty, comfort, excellent professional standards, outstanding service, all for an affordable price. We came to New Orleans because our granddaughter had been accepted to Tulane University and needed to visit the school before making a decision. Finding the Avenue Inn on the Tulane University website, I chose it because it was close to the school and reasonably priced. What a lovely surprise! Bebe and Joe welcome you into their elegant home with genuine Southern hospitality and tell you that their first rule is that you have a great time in New Orleans. Well, they certainly succeeded with us. Each day as we explored New Orleans, we were delighted to return to the lovely tranquility of the Avenue Inn and the architectural beauty of the Garden District, remarking over and over how thankful we were not to be staying at an impersonal hotel in the French Quarter. Getting around was easy with the streetcar right outside the front door, and Joe and Bebe were so helpful with suggestions of things to see and do, places to eat. You don’t need a guidebook at the Avenue Inn. Thanks to them, we had a wide variety of experiences during our four-day visit. We hope that our granddaughter does choose Tulane so that we can return often, and it will be to the Avenue Inn.

Just returned from a four day girlfriend getaway to New Orleans. We stayed at the Avenue Inn and could not have been more pleased. Our room was large, sunny, very well appointed and had very comfortable beds. From the flat screen tv to free wi fi access; lovely bathroom amenities (all eco friendly and luxurious.) The room was very quiet; we never heard a sound from inside or outside the Inn. There was a great restaurant literally next door and attached to that was a beignet and coffee cafe. Perfect. Joe and Bebe (the propietors answered all our questions; made great suggestions and even booked us on the tours we wanted. The street car which stops in front of the Inn is charming and gets you to the French Quarter in no time; really sets the mood for what the area has to offer.
We're planning on going back and taking our husbands!

My husband and I went to New Orleans for our "Babymoon" (a term we learned while in transit) and were recommended to the Avenue Inn B&B by a friend who had just moved to town. We really enjoyed our stay there. Joe comes from a hotel background and was scrupulous in his attention to detail, even after just coming off of a recent eye surgery the day of our arrival. Bebe warm and made she we knew all the ins and outs of the house.

The location is great. Its just blocks from the Garden District and right on St. Charles, which means easy access to the trolley.

Great place to stay for business or leisure. The rooms are spacious with wonderfully tall ceilings.

One night at the Avenue Inn was not enough. It is such a beautifully furnished home with so much character, I wish my trip would have been longer just so I could get to stay a few more nights. I lived in New Orleans, so I know the area well, and I chose the Avenue Inn because its great location in charming Uptown away from the crowded streets of the Quarter or CBD. However, it's only a short street car ride into town. It was warm and comfortable, and we had a great time.
