The service was fabulous and the room was beautiful - we had a one bedroom corner suite and it exceeded our expectations. Hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the casino and proximity to Bourbon street, the waterfront, shopping. Make sure you take a cab to Frenchman Street for the authentic jazz nite clubs. It was fabulous. Only disappointment with the hotel is that they have no pool - you are able to walk to the Hilton and use their pool but it was small and disappointing. With the summer heat I would have really enjoyed some pool time. Other tip - book a bike tour with bigeasybiketours.com - fabulous trip with Bob (fabulous guide). Also, Harrah's had a really good gym, the equipment was in good shape.

Harrahs far exceeded my expectations. We stayed three nights, and upgraded to a suite, which was amazing. Huge living room, bedroom and bathroom. Really an elegant suite and so great to come home to! The entire staff was extraordinary... extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a wonderful view of the Mississippi River and the location cannot be beat. It is an easy walk to the French Quarter, as well as to the St. Charles streetcars. Though some had advised staying in some of the quainter hotels in the French Quarter area, we agreed that in fact it was wonderful to return to this beautiful hotel after a day of touring around New Orleans. As I said, I was truly impressed with this fine hotel, and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to New Orleans.

This hotel is amazing, it has a magnificent t view of the might Mississippi and the bridge. The beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet. It nice to have a shower separate from the tub, and a door for the toilet :). The bathroom had premium amenities, which was nice. The room and the hotel itself were nicely decorated. The 2 things i didn't like was how far it was from Bourbon Street, i know you can take the trolley or take a cab, but after a loooong night partying in Bourbon Street the last thing you want is to have a long ride back to the hotel. Also, it doesn't have a pool but i guess the casino next door makes up for it. Regardelss of that, i would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Riverview, it's amazing

Thank you for taking the time to tell the world about your experience at Harrah's New Orleans. We're happy to see that you enjoyed the view of the Mississippi River and that you plan to stay at Harrah's New Orleans on your next visit to The Big Easy. There is so much going on in New Orleans that the 12 minute walk from Bourbon St. to our Hotel may seem a lot longer than what it really is. Next time try stopping inside the casino for a cold drink or a bite to eat before finishing your journey to your room. Hopefully this helps a little! We look forward to your next visit and thank you for choosing Harrah's.

Were fortunate to stay here for 3 nights comped. The entire staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The location was perfect and the short walk to the casino was easy and short.

Having never been to New Orleans, we were not sure what to expect. But after seeing this beautiful city and this outstanding hotel, we're ready to book another tripl

The rooms were large, clean and had a very classy appearance. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Would not want to stay at any other hotel property in New Orleans. We loved everything about it, except the Ruth Chris Restaurant (which is whole other review).

Next time we'll plan on staying longer. The city has so much to offer....can't wait to return.

Thanks for your kind review. Short and sweet!!! You're right; you can't beat our great location in the heart of the city!!! Just minutes away from it all and if it's a little further you're just seconds away from the Streetcar.

We hope to see you soon and thanks once again for taking the time out to share your experiences at Harrah's New Orleans.

We were in town for the JazzFest. We had stayed 4 nights at the Intercontinental, which was just ok. We got a comp offer from Harrah's, so stayed there the last night. I was surprised to find that our room was substantially larger and just better than the Intercontinental. Large bathroom, good water pressure, average bath amenities, lighted make up mirror. Room was big, with a seating area. Service was good. We've stayed all over NOLA. I would stay here again with no hesitation. We've stayed at Roosevelt,, IC, both W's, the Westin, Wyndham Riverfront in the past. I would say this is one of the better hotel rooms.

My wife and I travel to New Orleans several times throughout the year and our first choice is always the Harrah's Hotel. Okay, we are gamblers so the location to the casino is a definite plus but the reason we enjoy the hotel is because the staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms are very well appointed, decorated nicely and very quiet (important to us after gambling and Bourbon St.).

We've stayed at the Hilton Riverfront and the "W" across the street but neither of those compare to the Harrah's Hotel in my book. Even some of the smaller boutique hotels we have stayed at right on Bourbon just aren't worth the money for me.

We'll be back to New Orleans soon and we will stay at the Harrah's.
