Keith was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were exquisite. The buttermilk pie was to die for and I only wish I was not so full up that I could have ate another piece.

The location was brilliant - close enough to walk into the hub bub of New Orleans but far enough away. Keith was a font of knowledge and we enjoyed our talks around the breakfast table. It was a pleasure to meet him and Art.

Fantastic, impossible to beat, the antebellum guest house and hosts Keith and Art made our New Orleans trip that much more wonderful. The house itself, and all the antique pieces they have collected, is spectacular. Keith also provides so much information about the house as well as historical and current information about New Orleans. His authentic creole breakfasts were perhaps the best we've had

When I started planning our trip to New Orleans, I went on Trip Advisor and after reading all the great reviews I knew the Antebellum Guest House was the place for us. If you are looking for an authentic and beautiful place to stay with amazing hosts this place is for you. The main house is absolutely gorgeous and both Keith and Art have taken the time to maintain its appearance and fill it with historical artifacts that can have you talking for hours about at breakfast. Both Keith and Art were so helpful and history buffs...it was like having our own private tour guide at every breakfast! Breakfast is an experience in itself and Keith was very flexible with when we wanted it to start. He did a wonderful job explaining the dishes and they tasted as amazing as they looked! Keith suggested places to go that we would have never chosen by ourselves and they turned out to be some of our favorite places visited during the trip. They also had two bikes for us to use which allowed us to see more of the city! Bourbon street was within walking distance but we actually preferred Magazine street! The courtyard is stunning and it was nice to come home (yes it felt like home!) to a nice hot tub. We stayed in the Rococo room (we would have chosen the Bordello room but we are both over 6 feet tall and wouldn't fit in the bed!) which was perfect and elegantly decorated. Whenever we needed anything, Keith was their to help us out. There was a fridge in the back of the courtyard that we helped keep stocked so there was always a cold beverage waiting for us at home. We have already recommended the Antebellum House to all our friends and family and cannot wait to go back and visit again!

We recently stayed for four nights at the Antebellum. Keith, the innkeeper, could not have been nicer and more attentive. His attention to detail and his knowledge of everything New Orleans is second to none. He recommended four restaurants for us to visit. They were all spectacular. His breakfasts were nothing less than culinary art. He weaved a historic story that related to every breakfast. It was an excellent experience and if we are ever fortunate enough to visit New Orleans again we will certainly stay with Keith at the Antebellum again.

Keith was an exceptional host. The breakfasts were delicious and relevant to the New Orleans culture. We stayed in the "Rocco" room, which had a private entrance via the courtyard. As the guest house name suggests, the room and house is antebellum architecture. We stayed for 5 days over the Jazz Fest. There were bicycles available which we used each day. Overall above excellent - I would give 6 stars if I could.

Room Tip: Rocco Room has private external access
