your one stop shop for peanuts and Plains gifts. More varieties of peanut brittle than you could ever imagine from cinnamon to bacon. peanuts galore from fried to raw and seasoned or plain, they have it all. Lots of free samples. Did someone say peanut Ice cream? try it by it self of get a chocolate peanut butter swirl. lots of jams, jellies and sauces along with local honey. Take home a jar or two of Plains peanut butter. some of the best I have ever tasted. The staff are very sweet and are always ready to offer you a delicious sample.

Our extended family with grandchildren, ages 6, 4, and 2 were told when at the Andersonville prison that we had to get the peanut butter ice cream, when told that we were going to visit the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site. So that was a must do. We enjoyed the initial visit to the site and got to sample the ice cream before going back to the school to finish the children's Junior Ranger books. Then we went to lunch at the only restaurant in Plains -- the Silo, then had dessert here. It was soft serve, with a choice of peanut butter, or combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Yummy

What a relief that we made it to Plains by 5:15 pm - the ice cream maker at Plain Peanuts goes off at 5:30, and missing this delicious treat would have cast a dark cloud over an otherwise lovely afternoon. Plains is a charming town energized by the continued presence of President Jimmy Carter. Plain Peanuts has everything peanut from freshly harvested nuts, to fried and multiply flavored peanuts, to exceptional pure peanut butter made right in the store. They use the peanut butter to flavor custard ice cream - a treat anyone who likes peanut butter will love. Don't miss this stop in your travels through southwest Georgia.

If you enjoy ice cream and peanut butter, this is the place to stop! I saw the ice cream advertised and stopped in. I purchased a small cup and it was plenty and the price not too bad. The employees were very friendly. Upon return to Plains, this would be the one store where I would definitely stop.
