Great hotel and lovely friendly hosts . Loved the breakfast and the wellness area. Close to the ski slopes. V clean and quaint but trendy at the same time. Hosts v useful with the recommendations. Highly recommend it after being in Ischgl many years.

We stayed at the Montanara for 4 nights during early March 2018. Family Parth were an extremely helpful and engaging host and the hotel clean and well presented. Double rooms were well sized and equipped. We will definitely visit again.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Montanara (Feb 10th-17th 2018). We had three rooms – a family room for 3, which was extremely spacious and very clean with plenty of storage for all of our gear (of which we had a lot!). Lots of natural light looking over the mountains and a balcony too should you be brave enough for the fresh air! The bathrooms were very well equipped with 2 sinks, toilet and a corner shower/bath. Not being a ‘bath person’ I was concerned about not having a stand up shower, however after our first day of skiing a warm bath was most welcome! The other 2 rooms were doubles, which again were decorated beautifully, with plenty of storage space and bathroom space too.

The hotel is owned and ran by the most friendly and welcoming family who genuinely wanted you to make sure our stay was as good as it possibly could be. We were greeted with open arms (even though it was 9am and check-in wasn’t until 2pm) and were allowed to change and store our bags for the day so that we could start skiing ASAP. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the cable car, although on the last day we discovered a bus that takes you down which is a massive help! Or, at the top of the cable car there is a ski storage facility that lets you leave your skis overnight for 8 Euros if you don’t fancy carrying them down.

On the way home though, it is possible to ski back to the hotel via a red run – very picturesque down the mountains and then through a tree lined run all the way to the back door. I am not the most experienced skier and we did this with our 5 year old too so very manageable for intermediate skiers.

The breakfast was delightful and offered a good range of food for all tastes. Eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals, juices a great bakery selection and (most importantly for me) excellent coffee!

The boot room was spacious with heated boot hooks, which ensured all our equipment was fully dried out overnight. It was easily accessible from both inside the hotel, and also from outside at the end of the day.

Unfortunately we didn’t get the Spa as we skied all day everyday, but we did have a quick look in and it looked fantastic! Also, the Wi-Fi in the hotel was very quick and reliable should you need it.

Overall the feel of the hotel made our stay so memorable. It is perfect for families, couples and groups too who want a high standard of accommodation and service from their stay in Ischgl.

We finished another great stay at the Montanara. It's the third year time we are at this hotel for one week's skiing holiday. The place is just great. The host Stephanie and rest of staff is always helpful and smiling. Location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the main lift and restaurants and still very quiet. The breakfast you cannot dream about making better yourself and the wellness area is a perfect place for some rest after a long skiing day. This in combination with Ischgl's varied afterski entertainment makes us wanna book next year's stay very soon.

We stayed at this hotel for the period from 26.12-06.01.17. Wonderful hotel managing by family. There were 2 very big rooms with 2 bathrooms and lot of closets ( rather seldom option at the other hotels). They were always cleaned before our coming from the ski. Very cosy lobby, very nice breakfast, superbly decorated table during all our staying. The hotel locates in the very quite area. But It took 7 minutes to get to the center with children 5 and 10 years old.
The owner, very charm and beautiful woman, is very neighborly. She responds you in 5 minutes after you request.
The hotel doesn't provide lunch and dinner but there are many restaurants recommended by Stephanie and we didn't have any problems with it.
I strongly recommend this hotel for the staying.
