for this particular specimen of Austrian Hospitality, i'm afraid "terrible" doesn't quite cover it.
if your idea of a holiday is a constant battle with an inkeeper who clearly is upset that job opportunities on the berlin wall are now few and far between, but this level of bon vivance is as much as he is capable of, then this is the inn for you.
he is xenophobic, but don't worry, he isn't singling you out, he hates everybody. at the merest hint of a complaint from anybody, he has the local police on speed dial, and i can only imagine that if they have call recongnition, it would be labelled "time wasting bellwhiff" in whatever that looks like in austrian.
would never consider, nor recommend thislocation to anybody unless they raised it to the ground and replaced it with a nice memorial garden.

no stars.
might not even go back to austria after this.

breakfast was lovely...nice eggs.

Stayed 4 nights, hotel seem newly renovated. Beds a bit firm, wifi worked nicely. Great location and close to lifts and centre core, but never noisy. Staff helpful, especially nice service at breakfast, but can be a bit short in response to needs. Nice to find a quiet hotel.

Last week we stayed at this cute, efficient, family run hotel. We had a large room (#115) with sitting area and a modern and spotless bathroom. The breakfast each morning from 7:00am to 10:00am is very generous with lots of pastries, fresh bread, eggs, fruit and juices. One night we had dinner at the hotel, they were very busy and we could see why because the food was great. The hotel is conveniently located up the road from the bus terminal West and close to the ski lifts. A place to recommend, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Just stayed here the other week for a 4 night ski break. The location of the hotel is fantastic - just a short stroll down to the Galzig Bahn. The food was also very good. The big negative (and this is fairly typical in Austria) is that the owners smoke! during the day they would sit in the restaurant (which was below our bedroom) and smoke heavily - the room was blue!. Also in the evening when we came back after dinner they would be smoking. This smell did penetrate through to the bedroom. They were pleasant but not that welcoming either and there was no friendly chit chat.
On the last day we asked if we could store our luggage as our flight wasnt until late and we wanted to maximize our ski time. When we returned, we asked to use the downstairs shower in the sauna area. When we checked out the lady owner told us that it was 5 euros each for a shower!! - never been charged for a shower before when staying in a hotel!!.
Needless to say, we wont be going there again next year!

My friend booked a little room (less then 10 m2) for 92 euro per night. I had the plan to book another pension for myself, but asked the lady of schindler if it was possible if I could stay in the same room. She said: "sure your're welcome and luckily there is double bed'.

At the moment we wanted to check out the lady presented us the bill and shockingly she doubled the price almost. We couldn't believe it and wanted to discuss the issue and express that you could not charge 180 euro per night fro a room of less than 10 m2. Moreover she gave the impression that it would cost almost nothing (we expected a charge of 20 eur for breakfast and shower).

Then the owner came into the picture. He was rude. He said: "if you do not want to pay I call the police" and he walked away. We were flabbergasted. Even more when we found out that he double parked our car. With other words we were forced to pay!

A bad experience the way his hotel takes advantage of their guests.

Don't go there!

Room Tip: Don't go there. The rooms are way to small for the price they are asking
