We arrived at reception , hotel Elizabeth Solden,
stood patiently for 5 minutes while the receptionist sat in her adjoining office ,obviously ignoring me ....
I tapped on the bell and waited ......
another few minutes , I rang for second time ...

She emerged , and before greeting me , snatched the bell off the front desk , hid it behind the computer and obliged me with a stern 'YES ?! '
No 'hello'
Her attitude was openly hostile and angry ...
She reluctantly showed us the 'suite' , which was a small bedroom and an awful uninhabitable 'lounge' , and she scurried off moments later ..

We waited an age for her again at reception and asked about availability of other rooms , to which she curtly replied 'No ' and if we don't like that one , we must leave 'her hotel ' and 'go and find another hotel in Solden ..'

Imagine my horror when she then informed me the she OWNED THE HOTEL !!!!

Needless to say we ran out of there ....

Brigitte , my advice to you is to leave the hospitality business ASAP as you're obviously just not suited to it ..

We were pleasantly surprised. Found the hotel last minute. We had a family room with separate bed and living room plus a big roof terrace.. All newly refurbed, including the stylish bathroom. We have two babies and the cots were already placed in the room. We didnt need to ask for baby chairs as they were already at our designated table during meal times. The food was absolutely excellent. The owners organised a mini Christmas party (we were there on 24th Dec) followed by a fantastic 7- course dinner. Staff was friendly and forthcoming. The hotel also enjoys a small but great wellness area. The only minor negative comment would be for the room cleaning team. We will def go back.

We had a little difficulties finding the hotel, because it's in innerwald, a little outside sölden. And parking is also a little crime. But the hotel is amazing. Very friendly staff welcomed us in the hotel. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony. Only minus were the flies, because of the small animal stall next to the hotel . But if you keep the windows shut theres no prob. The breakfast is good . Enough to choose from. We had half board. So you sit everyday at the same table. The evening menu is very good. You can choose from two main courses there is a salad bar too. The friendly female owner makes small talk at your table, a plus! Very nice wellness, though the swimming pool is a little small. Conclusion ; We loved it.

We spent one week in hotel Elisabeth Solden in March 2014. First of all I must say that we were not pleased with people at the reception desk. As we had arrived instead of warm invitation we were strictly informed that our reservation was changed from our side - no discussion. When the reception desk realized they made a mistake, no sorry from them at all.
Whole time we felt like unwelcome in the hotel. Only one person from restaurant service /the man/ was nice and friendly.
Food was good, but a small selection of salads and lack of cheese - it was enough only for a few guests.
The problem with parking.
Rooms were modern and clean, wellness also but swimming pool does not correspond with picture presenting by the hotel. Very very very small.
Not enough snow to get into the hotel on skis, last two days we had to go through mud and melted snow, watter.

Would not recommend this hotel. More negatives than positives

We booked the hotel for our spring skiing holidays. Unfortunately we came across very bad experiences and behaviour. The hotel has special offer all over the internet and weekly price offer on hotel official web side. Special offer package was supposed to be including accommodation, half-board, skipass and after skiing snack from 22.3.2014 and that was one of the reason we choose it. So we booked the package,payed the advance payment, received confirmation of package price from the hotel but with checking out we were told that skipass was not included as well as there was not discount for child age of 14. The difference was more than 1500 eur which is huge amount of money. The reception [ she introduced herself as the owner of the hotel ] physically attacked two persons from our group, called the police on us, threaten us with court and did not want to accept any payment at all apart from the mentioned overcharge. We were forced to leave and pay by bank transfer after returning home. We travel around skiing areas often but never meet such horrible, rude and unfriendly hotel reception as in hotel Elisabeth, Solden
