“Great Villa on a stunning island for a perfect family holiday”
Reviewed June 10, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

We stayed at Villa Authentica during half term in May and had a great holiday.

The Villa is split into two apartments which worked perfectly for our two families. The Villa is situated a short walk from Lopud harbour, approximately 1/3 of the distance to Sunj beach. The Villa is exceptionally clean and tidy, with everything required for a self catering holiday. It was very warm when we visited Lopud but the air conditioning ensured we slept well each evening and during the day the pool was for cooling down, although we did struggle to get the kids out of the pool!

Meri and Daniel were extremely accommodating, Meri organised a golf buggy to collect our luggage from the Ferry, which was very helpful after a long journey with small children. Meri actually met us on the a Ferry, which meant there were no more sues with finding the Villa and furthermore we were show where everything was kept etc.

Sunj beach is a 10 minute walk over the hill, however the taxi station (golf buggy) is a minutes walk from the Villa, and for a small fee you can save the legs. The beach we awesome, especially for kids as it's do shallow and warm.

There are plenty of restaurants on the island, most with fantastic views of the mountains, hills and sea... the sunsets across the harbour are amazing. Our favourite restaurant was Mandrac, the service and food was fantastic.

There is plenty of walks on the island to the castle or churches, however it was really warm during our stay so these needed to done either earlier morning or evening. Some of our group (not me) went on the ferry for a day trip to Dubrovnik, they commented that whilst it was busy was worth the trip.

We went on a guided sea kayak tour and hired pedalo's which were both great fun and value!

Overall we had a fantastic holiday and were so disappointed when our week came to a close, hopefully we'll be back again soon.
