This villa was decorated so beautifully, it was a pleasure to stay in. It is detached and self contained on 3 floors, so was really nice and quiet and private. The bedroom especially was lovely, really spacious and comfortable with a very large bathroom attached. The living room was also bright and airy and comfortable. The outlook from the rooms were just lovely. The lady who looks after the villa very thoughtfully came and opened the shutters and windows ahead of our arrival to get the house aired, which was a nice touch and appreciated. The owner had also left a very helpful guide giving some good advice about where to visit. The only thing missing would be a garden or roof top terrace, but outdoor space wasn’t greatly missed as the weather wasn’t great during our stay, as we had quite a lot of rain. My partner also greatly appreciated the Wi-Fi and we both liked the fact that some TV channels were English for a relaxing hour after sightseeing and before heading out for dinner.....
Mali Ston was a very nice quiet small fishing village. Although 2 very expensive restaurants at the front of town seem to have edged out the little pizzerias and café/bars we enjoyed in other towns in Croatia, Ston, which was 10 min drive away, filled in this void as there were plenty of both, we especially liked the pizzeria Stagnum which was recommended by the owner. The restaurant Villa Koruna in Mali Ston was handy and much more reasonably priced than the other two restaurants in Mali Ston. The town does get very busy during the day with bus tours, perhaps due to its close proximity to Dubrovnik, so parking won’t always be guaranteed, but we never encountered problems during the evening when most of the tours had left.
