Had a great lunch here on our way from the Kona airport to our B&B in Captain Cook. Though the we were told the place had just been open a couple weeks, it has a settled, old-world ambiance. The food is very authentic, fresh and well prepared Roman style cuisine. The house Chianti was excellent. Not good if you are in a hurry. It was not a long wait for a real restaurant but this is real cooking and takes a bit of time. Service was cheerful but just a bit scattered. Not surprising given the length of time in business and I will bet that improves quickly. It is in the small town of Kainaliu, right next to the quaint Aloha Theater. Great place!
