I had never booked a place through Trip Advisor so when I was shopping last minute and found this "book now" deal for a very reasonable rate I was a bit nervous. I thought I might run in to extra fees, as in resort fees, parking, wifi ect. Nope, it was as represented - except for a five dollar a day fee that covers a few basic activities like lei making, etc.
This was a first for me as far as visiting a time share. I didn't understand that we would be booked in to the first condo available at check in, like a hotel room, I thought that we were renting a specific unit owned by an individual. The condo we received was very nice, clean and spacious. the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to cook. There are basic coffee and tea supplies for the first morning, but nothing else, so you might want to hit a grocery store for a few things.
We were close to the lower pool, which was lovely. The location of the resort was perfect, within walking distance to Ali'i drive (about ten min) which is great because parking is tough on the main drag.
When we checked in we got a short pitch about attending a time share sales gathering, but when I said "no thank you" it wasn't mentioned again, no pressure. My daughter and I attended the lei making activity (she's 11 and she was the only child) it was very fun and we stuck around for a lesson on the Hawaiian alphabet, which turned in to an educated discussion of Hawaiian history.
All in all this was a great value and a very pleasant place to stay, we would do it again.

My husband and I travelled with another couple. The spacious unit had all the amenities, blender, toaster, etc., that we desired. The unit we were in was right next to the natural area so in the a.m. we could sit on the lanai, sip coffee and watch and listen to the birds come to life.
